That tattooed girl, if I'm right in remembering, had skin cancer and thus decided to ink her entire body in a bid to put a positive spin on things.
Not everyone who has tattoos is a numpty or a thug. Go into the Tattoo and Piercing Forum sometime- could'nt find a nicer bunch of people if you tried!

Everybody is different but when I see someone with tattoos (male or female) I always presume they are a bit thick. Let's be honest, we all subconsciously judge on looks whether we admit it or not. I'm sure employers take appearance into account also.

You are unfortunately right about people judging on looks to some extent, but fortunately most people aren't complete ignorant snobs like you.

I have tattoos. Both extremely discreet and small.

If somebody wants to think I'm 'thick' for having them, then more fool them.

    Admits ridiculous prejudice.

    Facepalm.

I don't understand where this whole 'people with tattoos are thick' mentality comes from. Is it based on past experiences? I don't have any tattoos myself but have been thinking about getting one later this year. I don't expect half my brain cells to immediately fall out of my head, nor do I expect to become a duuuurrty tramp as soon as I unleash my tattoed appendage upon the unsuspecting public. It's a completely ridiculous notion!

I don't mind tattoo's so much, but I'd gets on my nerves a little bit when people permanently mark their skin for nothing. Rather than getting one to remember a person, important date or anything like that they instead a jumble of Chinese letters that stand for their star sign or something.

When I think of people with tattoos, I think of my friends from my teenage years (with whom I'm still friends) and they are all intelligent, kind, funny, warm and all are doing well for themselves in their careers and love lives.

And I thank god those people were my friends in my formative years and not some judgemental bunch of morons who have narrow-minded views on things they think are "weird".
