Good spot to pick blackberries near City?

    I can see loads of blackberries on various bushes around the city, e.g. out the ring road, Johns Hill up by Grange etc., but can anybody recommend a good stretch of quiet country road near the city or perhaps a field accessible to the general public where there's a load of em growing, enough to bake a tart. Thanks

    The Harvest Festival did a blackberry picking morning last year in the grounds of St Otteran's. Not sure if it's happening this year

    The partially used industrial estate at the end of the Cork Road has one field in particular (at the bottom) that's covered in blackberries

    Waterford Castle Island. Friend of mine spend 30min to pick 1lb today.

    You can check bushes behind St. John's Pastorial Centre on John's Hill.
