Another 18 ?, i changed mine just now and it went to 446.00euro, it went up over 20 euro for me :eek:, hope its not for nothing and it actually gets here on due date or hopefully earlier!

I'll just give you my experience and hey it may never happen to you.

I got a PS3 launch console from Hong Kong as it was much cheaper and my Dad was there and picked it up for me. Worked a charm for about 18 months until I got the yellow light of death, still within my 2 year warranty.

Sony Europe said that they couldn't repair it for me as they didn't have the parts, not even for a fee, they just simply weren't equipped to fix them with the spare parts (relating to power) or the tools.

My only options were to return the console to HK (impossible) or ship it back (too expensive and they would most likely not ship it all the way to Ireland).

So I had to buy a new PS3, which sucked.

So really, the only issue is if you're willing to take the risk that it won't tank while it's under warranty as if it does, you might be in trouble. Maybe SCEE are better equipped now to fix foreign machines but I don't know. I do know, that they're not obliged to as my contract was with SCEA.

Anyways, that's just my experience and something to be aware of.

Hmmm just a heads up on anyone who has ordered from amazon.co.uk and wants to change from their irish address to Parcel Motel Belfast, when you select your parcel motel address it prompts you to change delivery method to expedited it was giving me an error, but gave it a few minutes and it seems to have updated ok got an email confirmation to confirm expedited think is around £4.99 which is 1 business day first class is 2-3 business days so total cost will be £353.99 and the 3.50 for parcel motel. I will be saying my prayers they dispatch them on the 28th but you never know.

Usually ordering from amazon is cheaper and more so if you're using Parcel motel but even then the UK price is higher even with the lower vat than the Irish one.

Went into Game stop today and Put a €20 deposit on the PS4 in wexford. He said i mightn't get it on launch day, as they have been taking deposits since February. He said i should have it before Christmas though. The Guy said i might be lucky and get one on Launch day. Also said if i see one on Launch day some where else, i can get my money refunded.

Went down to Xtravision after that and they said i wouldn't get one till after January.

I wonder is there many people in Wexford town who have pre-ordered it?

I pre ordered in gamestop in early july and asked them how it would work. Was told first come first serve on the night so if you just go midnight launch im sure you will get it, unless the receipts say non launch day ps4.

Just says the Order no on it. Ill chance my Arm so. Would be Horrible to have to see other people walk out with one, and you not.

Was this in Wexford by the way?

Can,t see that working.. there would be mayhem, most game stops are going off the day you pre ordered, this first come first served will cause fights,

I ordered mine in gamestop in June and then followed up with an email to check the probability of getting it at launch. I was told that by ordering at that stage I was guaranteed one at launch.
I received an email from gamestop yesterday as I subscribe to the mailing list. It says to pre order your ps4 now launching on the 29th November. Then follows the ** preorders aren't guaranteed at launch.....
I know I was a bit late to the party ordering in June but after been told I was guaranteed one and the fact my cash has been sitting in their account since then a launch PS4 better have my name on it.

I can not see them getting more in after the first batch arrive till next year, it is far too small a window, but its not like they will be losing that much money, people could go in and get a 400 euro gift card and give it to their kid for Christmas.

I see you can still get an XB1 for launch, I wonder will many PS4 fans turn to xbox if they cant get there new conosole this year. for me if I counldnt get a ps4 by at least christmas I think I would just buy an XB1

Nope I doubt it, I'd say PS3 users will wait until PS4 becomes available although I see a lot of parents panicking when they can't get a PS4 for little Johnny and buying him an XB1 instead for under the xmas tree (worse Christmas ever for little Johnny

What sort of game are you looking for?

Watch Dogs, Assassins Creed, Killzone, CoD and Battlefield seem to be the ones most are going for.

Pre ordered watch dogs with it. Im guessing there wont be a shortage of games? The ps3 didnt sell as fast as the ps4, did it? I can remember walking in to smyths the day after release and there were shelves full of ps3s

Would do no harm to wander in.
I'd say pre-order stock is used up though.

Sony would not hold back on the off chance a "new" shop will open.

Sites are pretty conflicted about it, I know Ubisfot said the game may be delayed for 1-2 weeks after launch, but that means that we in the EU should get it for launch.

The games is what should be interesting, they were excellent for prices towards the end of their last run.

The console, sorry but not a hope, you will be put on a list for the second batch or with the hype now possibly a third batch list.
