Well therein lies your problem. You have answered your own question... there are no octupuses in any colleges, as they are not intelligent enough. Don't give me low socio-economical opportunities either ffs, they went to school just like all the other fish.
You think going to college implies intelligence?

    Anyway

They are considered honorary vertebrates by most people due to their high intelligence.

I don't like eating smart animals.

I did not answer the ****ty push poll provided by OP.

We're talking about octopuses going to college here, what do you think?

If we chose to eat species based on intelligence level we'd have turned to cannibalism a long time ago.

seems I've made a arse of the poll - pardon the pun. But I didn't intend for everyone to be able to vote for all options.

Bet an octopus wouldn't have made an arse of the poll.

so you're saying it is a "race to the top" then? Start by eating all the low level creatures and work ones way up the scale

Pigs are fairly intelligent too. Many animals are more intelligent than we give them credit for.

Its rarely about intelligence for us. Probably because we are rarely intelligent. Its all in the taste, thats proven by the dog eaters. Why else would anyone choose to eat a dog?

The campaign to remove them from our diet was highlighted recently when an American family killed and ate an octopus, while holidaying in Greece, only to discover later it was a rare six-limbed “hexapus”, and only the second one ever recorded.

    Merica...

He'd still be big in Japan. Pass the wasabi and soy sauce.

It's only cannibalism if you eat college graduates apparently. Everyone else is in the octopus category.:D

Eating people isn't illegal, why should eating octopussys be illegal?

Weird photographs. There's one of the son killing the octopus followed by one of the father finishing him it off. If the son killed the octopus why did it need finishing off?

I'd sooner have pics all over the internet of me giving head to a one eyed snake rather than of me tormenting and then killing a dumb/intelligent animal.

And as cephalopods like octopuses are recorded as cannibalizing each other as a primary food source, Mountjoy will require an underwater yard.

I'm not really sure why intelligence would be a factor....but the traits the article describe are true of just about every animal I've ever heard of.

I don't eat anything that can say it's own name. If it turns out that cow's names are actually moo and sheep's are baa, then I'm screwed.
