Id take Kondogbia, but he is still pretty raw, he needs plenty of work. Not exactly whats needed for right now. Good squad addition but not whats required to push on the first team

Thought he looked plain enough alright, but as you said it was only one game. Reminded me of Seydou Keita.

Off topic it doesn't feel that long since last season and that a new season has started. All the memories of last season, RVP derby winner, Stamford Bridge mania, the Raf goal v Liverpool and the many times coming back from going behind.

Don't tell me this lad is the permanent anchor on MOTD2? Also they're gonna have a few words before the interviews too? Why change things.

I remember when Abrahmovic took over Chelsea. SSN broke that an English team had bid 35m for Nesta and was said only two teams could afford it. 35m was unbelievable back in the day. How times have changed.

Strikes me Chelsea got their 2-0 lead and that was enough, so they shut down and held that lead. Think you'll see that a lot this season; not exciting, but effective football.

I think you are right. I think United will be looking to do similar and did it yesterday.

I dont think we can play a pressing game against Chelsea.

Anybody disagree? Wanna discuss? No name calling though. I had enough trauma for that in one day/hours

I think a pressing game can be played but I don't think it will be played. I think defensively United will stay tight and compact, force the ball to be played into wide positions and back themselves to clear the ball if its crossed in.

I think we need to tackle the game like we did when we played Madrid. Chelsea have the best midfield in the league by far so we really need to be wary of that.

RVP is a game changer though. If he gets the slightest scrap of a play he'll put it away. Chelsea don't have that.

I think it be like Madrid gae, but us with bit more ball.Or we should anyway..Playing a poor pressing game against Chelsea will backfire..Main reason being they have super passers

We can't play a pressing game against Chelsea because we haven't got the players or player should I say to do so. I just can't see us working as one well oiled machine with Ando or Clev in the middle with Carrick.

I think Moyes will play a 4-5-1 like Fergie did last year against Chelsea with Jones, Carrick and Kagawa in the middle this time. Rooney/Welbeck out left and Valencia/Nani out right with RVP up front. Packing the midfield will help to snuff Chelsea's attacking midfield 3, and we better hope that Torres plays.

I forgot about Raf so it'll most probably be Giggs in at CM

Anyone think Jones will be deployed in midfield?

If we don't sign anyone then I think he will be. He'll do alright there too in a man marking job as long as Carrick is next to him. Probably have Smalling at RB should provide better defensive cover than Fabio.

We'll have a player in before the Chelsea game.

I'd be quite happy with Banega..

As much as I don't like him there I think we will need him the way things are at the moment. I can see Ramirez having a lot of joy through the middle without someone in there that will get stuck in.

At this stage of the season, I would predict a "safe", selection

Same team as this weekend except Giggs out, Kag in.

Other option is Jones in midfield as mentioned

    DeGea

    Smalling ---- Rio --- Vidic - Evra

    Valencia - Carrick - Jones - Kagawa

    Welbeck

    RVP

I can see Jones' and Welbecks' pace being used to help mark out some of the three amigos in midfield.

If Moyes is serious about his stance on Rooney, I see no reason why he shouldn't play. He's got a decent record against Chelsea.
