That Inter forum Mike linked is full of gems. That Wallace lad is a right nutter :D

I post in that forum and Wallace is a very good poster but 99% of the times he just trolls. So everything he posts in Coutinho thread is just trolling and everyone in that forum knows :pac:

There is no "conclusions" drawn from it, just calling it as it was yesterday and saying that I hope his development hasn't been stunted as we've seen before when a young player is overused (Insua for example).
I really don't see why Insua gets put on a pedestal by everyone here. He was a mediocre player for us, he was a mediocre player for Galatasaray, he was a mediocre player for Sporting Lisbon and now he's a bench warmer at Atletico. Nothing in his career has ever suggested that he was anything but mediocre. Secondly, to say he was played too much at too young an age is just nonsense. He was 20/21 when he played most of the 2009/2010 season for us.

If you want to talk about wrecking a player, look at Michael Owen. He became a regular for us at 17 (a full 3 years younger than Insua when he started playing regular) and has since said himself the injuries he sustained by playing so much shortened his career.

All the indications are that the Willian deal is getting close to completion. Apparently its Billy Hogan negotiating the deal, not Ayre.

His thick, strong and volumising hair that sits just above his angel-like face makes the whole thing more heavenly.

Holy jaysus man steady on :o

Utterly brilliant little player would suffice.

Ok guys, thought I'd be able to keep this offer going 'til the end of the season but due to 4 people thanking my post and 16 people PM'n me, letting the share go between more than 20 people just wouldn't be worth the bet in terms of the winnings each of us would receive. The way it is now, the select 20 will be guaranteed the price of a night out for all of us together come the day we win the league (if) Sorry if you've missed out but I'm closing this offer now, well done to the 20 ambitious boardsies who got in there first showing your faith in our team and I look forward to end of season celebrations and pints with all of you. That said, anyone outside the 20 is free to join just the costs won't be covered. Anyone inside the 20, don't feel the need to have to spend your winnings on drink or join us in celebration as it's your money, feel free to do with it as u wish :)

    Audman.

You're defo a parody account. You're doing ok, well done. Just slow it down and don't be playing your cards too soon.

Villa is gonna be a tough game.

Hope Mignolet doesn't partake in anything like this though...

MO was overplayed, I agree but he has also said in interviews just after he retired that hamstring injuries ran in his family. Sometimes you can get talented played with one aspect of their DNA that will ruin them.

Ryan Giggs' 1st three full seasons apps:
    1991–92 51
    1992–93 46
    1993–94 58

    Michael Owen's:
    1997–98 44
    1998–99 40
    1999–2000 30

Spot on. Very happy to have him at the club.

There is a difference between being happy to have him at the club and being happy with as a regular in the starting 11.

I'm not happy to have him in the starting 11 currently either. That falls on Rodgers & FSG.

Just watching a bit of the Palace/Spurs game there and got a flashback to a nugget of info. When we played Palace in the cup semi final in 1990 there was no physio at the club. Players used to get rub downs off Moran/Evans etc. Kinda crazy to think about it but not unusual at the time.

Spurs looking very much like the athletic, methodical team they've bought the players for

Seems to be too much optimism around at the moment but I'd agree with the above to an extent. Tottenham minus Bale really don't look up to much.

I don't know much about Cissokho, but I've seen a few people on here say that he's been pretty poor for Valencia.

Is he better going forward than Enrique? If not, seems like a strange signing since Enrique is very good defensively. Maybe he is being seen purely as backup.

Apparently better going forward then enrique not that thats much to write home about. I read he was a good lb in his porto lyon days and had a bad time at valencia, only signed last summer. Its not outrageous to say he could easily recapture his old form here.

AVB gets a lot of love on this thread, yet I just don't see why. Spurs lack creativity. It really is football by the numbers.

Some people seek out every possibility for the sneaky put down of our club and our manager.

So if people rate AVB as a manager, it's only to put Rodgers down?! :D

    Some guys Yes.

I have no issues with guys who rate AVB, he was a huge success at Porto, failed at Chelsea and the jury is out at Spurs.

    Are you having a laugh?!?!

This sort of bull**** is what is wrong with this thread.

By every reasonable measure, AVB appears to be a better manager than Rogers. I have no interest in getting into an argument on it as it is pointless.

I think it is bordering on paranoid delusional. If it was a serious topic, I would be worried for you. Thankfully, it is a meaningless topic. Thus somewhat amusing.

Tbf and without sounding like I'm having a go at you here, I've answered why a few times in the past and f I'm honest, I'm just not arsed explaining again :pac: :P

    I do too.

I wouldn't agree though that he performed any better than Rodgers given the respective positions when they took over

There were plenty of mitigating circumstances surrounding AVB's time at Chelsea too - I'd hardly describe it as him failing.

Its Rodgers and how have you come to that conclusion so quickly?
