Bold, I know, naughty perhaps, but I adventorously 'loaned' the bookie a rather cheeky €100 after the game today in quiet but confident hope of making all of it back with a monsterous profit when we win the league.

PM me or thank this post for a share of the profits/a few pints on me come title-decider day.

Wanting to get rid of Agger is reactionary bollocks typical of this place.

Absolute quality player who also wants to play for us and not **** off at the first opportunity.

Sorry, Mate. I Love Agger and Skrtel, but TBH I don't Rate any of them. And you can include Coates in that.

Reactionary? Nope. Said it plenty of times here, ever since I got Soccer Access.

    Some Examples:
Not only Coates but Wisdom. I am actually of the opinion to use either one of them to mark the Danger Man.

Skrtle and Agger is just too lightweight for the work. They are just getting abused. And the opposition player, pretty much do whatever he wants.

Coates and Wisdom, might actually be better proposition against Teams like Everton, Stokes, West Ham and Villa.

Not only that, we need Proper Midfielders against those team. Midfielders that are willing to cover lots of ground, to initiate offense and help in defense too.
So that means either no Gerrard and Shelvey or just one of them. We can't afford both.

Sorry even if Rodgers got a Fit Agger, there's no denying that he's been costing us goals. Same with Skrtel.

And Allen? Kenny has Adam. It's not Rodger's fault that Kenny bought a player that can't defend.

    Oh Boy, where to start?

Ok, let's go with the most obvious, Our Defense. I hate to say it, but our Defense is so ****ty, it can be barely called one. We go to panic attacks when we are pressed. And you know what? All the Prem Teams knows this.

Not to mention, we are also very susceptible to long balls and counterattacks, which makes playing against us, very easy to do and plan.

I love Skrtel and Agger, but I don't think the new system suits them. I wasn't a member back then, but once Man City made a decent offer for Agger, I was of the mind to sell him.

In our old one, whatever individual deficiencies our CBs have can be masked. Because they were afforded protection in our compact play. Not in our new system though.

In our new system, we use the width of the pitch and try to stretch teams and to find the gaps within the spaces. We also make full use of our fullbacks as another attacking outlet, thereby leaving our CBs and our DM as our only defensive shield against our opponent's counterattack. If our last 3 can't contain the initial thrust or blunt them long enough to allow our other players to scramble back and help, then we're screwed.

I don't have to tell you how often this has happen to us. Yeah, it isn't pretty.

If the Owners are still keen on playing this system, then we definitely need a new CB. We need someone good in the air, comfortable on the ball, and can pass with composure. Most importantly, we need someone Strong enough not to wilt like a Shy Maiden against the Bentekes, Jones, and Coles of the World.

Coates would be alright in a 4-4-2 Formation where he is not so exposed. I guess that's why KK bought him.

Unfortunately, we play 4-3-3 and Rodgers likes a High Line, that means Mobility is a Premium. Heck, you've already seen the struggles Agger and Skrtel playing it, what more with a Player with Limited Speed like Coates?

The only way I can see us incorporating Coates, is if we play 3-5-3, and he plays the Middle. Which basically makes him a Situational Player, and probably 4th Choice CB. I don't think he'd be happy with that.

Sadly, I don't think he has a Future here. He'd be better off back in South America or playing in Italy.

Say who ever served ya in the bookies had a good owl laugh :)

Might have a look at as for top 4 but I doubt there would be any value.

Enjoyed the match ultimately. Chant of the day from Stoke fans at one point in the first half when they strung about 10 passes together was "We're Stoke City, we're passing the ball". The true colours came out near the end though when the fans were moaning that they were playing it about and not lumping it into the box.

Some noise after the penalty save for the last few mins as well then, but not great overall as is increasingly the case, but I've been at games that were much quieter as well.

Entertaining enough game though I thought, but about to watch the highlights on MOTD now. In the first half I thought Mignolet and Enrique were the players that irritated me most. Enrique is so frustrating. It was frightening the difference in heights of the two teams when you see it from pitch level. The effort levels of everyone was terrific though, couldn't ask more there. If they could just sort out the shooting boots that would be good.

Just watched Arsenal, I know it was a snapshot of the game (and only 1 game) and the ref was poor-ish, but they were a shambles ... and ripped apart on the counter attack. I think we're battling for 5th with them , there is no way they are top 4 at end of this season

They had a bad day today but to say they wont be in top 4 is ridiculous after 1 game.

they lack creativity in there team

What's the story? This here is the story and it applies to every single opposition striker of the given race and ethnicity Liverpool and Toure come up against this season.

There's a new Sherrif in town!

If that were true I would be very confident we can finish 4th

After the 8-2 game a couple of seasons ago they were written off totally as well, but still finished 4th. No way anything can be judged on one game, although they are very thin on senior players now alright.

Mate, if you want to use a Pic, just Click on the Icon that looks like a Postcard with a Mountain and a Sun and then paste the URL of your Picture there.

Or you could just use -Insert the URL of your Picture here-

    Hope that helps.

Maybe so, but if other sides around them are improving they cant afford to get off to a bad start. They look extremely light in terms of numbers and there is a lack of quality in certain areas of their squad, last season we had a terrible start and it took 4 months before we recovered. It is not inconceivable that Arsenal could suffer the same fate

They had a brutal start last season and recovered to end up with cl qualification, can't say after ONE game!

They tell you :) It's not mine though, I use my brothers. I left mine in our Parisian apartment when I was there during the week and Father has the private jet taken to Monaco so I'm just using this for now.

Is that John Arne Riise in his early days at Liverpool?
