    I don't think I would describe any band I liked in the past as rubbish, plus you're bound to insult someone by saying that. :pac:

    Certain bands just ran out of steam, for example Delays. They were a good band, I wasn't a huge fan but I liked a good few of their songs especially from their second album You See Colours. But after that they just seemed to lose it.

    Clap Your Hands Say Yeah. Tbh I'm not even sure why I still have that debut album. That guy cannot sing, end of. Pure torture listening to him. His voice just ruined all the songs which was a pity.

    Sometimes his voice works with the music sometimes not, but certainly a distinctive voice ..skin of country teeth is one of the greatest songs..anyway was just browsing new releases and your quote popped into my head..New EP is up on youtube..its not half bad...sticking with their distinctive sound it seems.

    Klaxons and Glasvegas had decent debuts but were utter dross thereafter

    Yeah The Skin Of My Yellow Country Teeth was a very good song but I stick by what I said; that his singing voice was horrible, it's especially evident in that song. From listening to both songs from the EP you put up he seems to have improved somewhat which makes all the difference. Only Run is actually a pretty decent song.

    I know he is not a classically 'good' singer ...doubt he will be going solo anytime soon but I think this is a band where you have to appreciate an innovative style and take the vocals as part of that. Surprisingly good tracks from them on that EP..I did think they where dead and buried.

    The Maccabees - their first album wasn't the greatest

    I think echobelly were more for the guys with the asian fever ;) because that girl was stunning, same can probably be said for sneaker pimps I mean just look the girls out front cooing away with their suggestive lyrics yet other members of the groups contented in being non-entities! Still, at least if thats what was going on then the eye candy there wasn't as musically disposable as it tends to be

    Totally agree! Not forgetting good old Sleeper!!

    I reckon in 5 years a lot of people will say "Mumford and Sons"

    Or have said it since they came out!

    I have to say that although there are plenty of bands that I could consider rubbish when I look back on them, you could almost rename the thread best modern one hit wonders?

    But I would list bands which I now think are ****e as;

    Babyshambles
    Kaiser chiefs
    Alien ant farm
    Nickelback
    Jet
