There have been plenty of massicures and attrocities through our existance that some may take exception to whilst others may cope throught laughter however distastful . For instance after the first building collasped in 9/11 i recieved a "funny" text within 20mins regarding it

I always thought that the best humor had to offend someone. If we ban all jokes because they could potentially upset someone somewhere then we have become humorless and it also stifles debate and criticism. Are we to be afraid to say anything on case it potentially offends someone, somewhere. In my opinion that ban is the perfect example of humorless political correctness gone mad.

I'm Irish, born and raised. Its legal here. I'd still have issues with it on the grounds of good taste and shared humanity. As a joke, its immature. I'd agree though, anybody who wanted in all seriousness to say the holocaust was a hoax should be allowed to say it.

If for no other reason than they might more easily be identified as the ar5eholes they are.

Literary hoaxes fairly common I think, James Frey's A million little pieces was one and that J.T Leroy was a completely made up person with a fake memoir/novel. Can't remember what it was called. Sarah, possibly.
