I did back to about 2002 with old fae - there very repetitive so after a few i was just reading them and using them for my notes - i had started on these so then went on to case studies / Most of the old financial is the derry cotter book But ya i went through that too.

Did nt do the man accounting one at all its rubbish. I took about 4/5 weeks off last year ( UNPAID ) . had to split it tho to work month end. Ive 2 n half weeks this year for the elective.

I literally had a plan of about 4 cases a day but i d read the theory stuff when i did nt understand anything.

thanks a million for your advice,

In relation to your other post I think they are the only cases we have, you remember the list we got where topics were examined, if you have all those cases that all there should be i think.

To be honest if you get through them and a bit of common sense you should be ok. that what i hope anyways:)

There on your own page when you log on where you normally find notes - then there is a tab down the left that says mock exam results

    Is the Pitem solution correct?

I can't figure out where they are getting the debt figure for option B of €31,084

I would assume the debt is the current debt in the company of €14,418 plus the $15m loan and the $10m loan note being issued.
    15,000 / 1.31 = 11,450
    10,000 / 1.31 = 7,634

    So by my reckoning the debt for option b should be 14,418 + 11,450 + 7.634 = €33,502.

Is the answer just wrong or have I missed something.

I am also getting different interest figures. Anyone done this question yet?

My solution has total debt as 33 501 and interest as 2271 ??

You're correct the debt figure is incorrect.
The interest cover and the other calc is correct as far as I can remember but the gearing is certainly incorrect.
No suprises in that considering its issued by that shower.

    hey i tink it is as follows;

office rental costs in india 100 rupees per square foot, & the indian office needs 10,000 square feet.

    Thus 10,000*100=1,000,000rupees

    50 indians rupees to euro,

    thus 1,000,000/50=20,000

Correct, there wasn't. And there should have been.

On the first point, it was definitely a her.

I got a her that layed into me also - strange.

Without profiling, I think you can form an accurate enough guess by the writing, both tone and style. It's a woman's writing. It's a woman's sentiment. Definitely.

Ya I bet my life on it being a women ... A man would nt of gone into all the small - at one point she wrote wrong ... worrying !!!! fairly smart tone !! that I made a poor effort and would someone pay for this advice .. I was decile 4 I would hate to see what she told the people in decile 9/10. I'm feeling someone what deflated by it and starting to freak a bit bout it

I would pay no attention, I didn't do the mocks (due to having to work) instead the plan on Monday is to attempt it and watch the joe Healy lecture and go through it! It's easy for her to write that stuff you would have thought she would have been more constructive! Pick up a few points from it and keep studying away at the end of the day it's a mock and no more!
