When was the last time you got the bus?

The last time I got the bus was about a month ago. Myself and my Brother were heading into town to met up with others. The bus had wifi on it and everything.

You'd be surprised at how many people absolutely will not get on a bus.

Got a car last January and I haven't taken the bus since. I thank god for that car every day. No more hour long waits in the cold rain, no more small talk, no more sitting beside people smelling of piss, no more standing from Limerick to Moneygal and no more random bus changes.

They got rid of them. The rest stop is in Mountrate. I felt sorry for anyone that had to deal with them.

I wouldn't get on a bus with ordinary peasants even if you paid me. It's such a lower class form of transport.

A couple of weeks ago. I'm lucky - I live along the 84x route, so I don't need to worry about having to sit next to people who smell of piss. It's handier than driving or getting the DART to town.

I got the bus up to Dublin about 2 weeks ago. The guy in front of me was on boards on his iPad. If youre reading this mysterious bus dude, you have dandruff.

the bus is second only to the luas (red line) in terms of scumbaggery

So you're upper class are you?

    I really doubt that tbh.

Dublin Bus 40 tops the red line anyway!

It's the old 78A. The route name has changed but the scum remain

anyone notice how clean the air was in dublin without the buses?

we should ban buses and make the bus lanes into permanent cycle lanes

This is true. I was on the 40 bus when a woman got jabbed with a needle from a syringe left on a seat.

Haven't been on a bus in Ireland in at-least 10 years, maybe more.
Living in rural Ireland and over a mile from a main road, the bus just isn't an option.

Would you get the tube in London?

You can't get much lower than the Underground.

I had to get a few last week as car is on blocks and I was off work (so no company vehicle) for a few days. Jesus fking Christ but they're some nuisance. I gave up after day 2 and just got taxis instead. Listening to Arabic/African/Chinese music/ driver moaning about said Arabs/Africans/Chinese was blessed peace up to getting pissed on while the bus drives by -full, next one in 17 minutes.....

That's pure unadulterated bussism that is.

Shame on you you filthy bussist.

I haven't gotten the bus, that I can think of, since about last October, when I got a car again. But I only got the bus when I was in a rush, I used to hitch most of the time if I had time.

I get the dublin bus about six days a week. Have no idea why they are on strike. I get the 145 route and it is pretty much a joke. Stopping to change drivers and all that. Making people change buses halfway through a journey. What is that about. Finish the goddamn route. If they want people to use public transport then make it an effective form of transport. This won't stop here I am going to the highest form of authority......JOE F*****G DUFFY!

Buses are the lowest form of public transport.
