No, just... nothing special. Bit like Molsons Canadian, or similar generic lager. It's not BAD. But it doesn't really stand out either.

Agreed on the "nothing special" summation - the bottle I had was so flat that I actually wondered had the cap been loose or something. A mate of mine had a bottle last weekend and said the same thing.

They sometimes do. I'm not a fan of it bottled or kegged, but the cask version is usually stunning.

I see that they have Curim on draught in the Brewers Corner at the moment. They say it´s a ´world exclusive´ though...

I can't think of anywhere else that has draught Curim right now, so it most likely is.

Had 2 pints of Blarney Blonde last night in Gengarriff in Cork. The night before in Barleycove also in Cork the hotel there had Shipyard IPA in bottles.
Not a fan of the Shipyard IPA so stayed away from it.

Nice to see a bit of a choice in these places all the same.

Never enjoyed the bottled version but had it on draught/cask I think in the Bull and Castle years ago and it was really good.

Think I saw it in draught in the Hole in the Wall pub around 2 years ago but that was the last time I was there.

Brewery corner told me its never been on draught before when I went in a few weeks ago.

They also had the Irish Pale Ale on cask, nom.

That's a lie though? No? I'm sure I've seen it on tap before.

The usual beer history fallacy: if I've never heard of it, it didn't happen :)

Bull & Castle was the first place I saw it on cask, and they've had it at least three times since 2009. It was at the IFSC beer festival last year, and Ruairi Maguire's in Dundrum used to have it as a regular on tap. I'm sure it's been on draught at other festivals too.

Ha, indeed. Although that applies to a lot of things!

Just at festivals? I'm convinced I've seen it on draught in regular bars.

I did mention The Bull & Castle and Ruairi Maguire's there. It's bound to have been on in other bars too.

Not to get into the Cask/Draught debate again, but you did specifically say "Cask" when mentioning the B&C, but point taken.

There's a debate? Cask is draught. It's drawn.

We never had it on in my time but Bull and Castle definitely used to sell it on draught according to some old menus I found. It appears on cask every 3-4 months.

The thing about Curim is that it's really hard to sell someone a wheat beer if what they're expecting/looking for is a hefe. It has it's devoted fans though.

8 Degrees Brewing's Howling Gale Ale has replaced Punk IPA as my beer of choice in the last few weeks. Like the Sunburnt Irish Red too.

This is why I like it. I wouldn't be the biggest hefe fan in the world but enjoy Curim. That being said, I'm not sure I could discern its wheatiness by taste alone. I have a bottle of it at home at the moment so must think about it as I drink it.

I think Howling Gale is a real gem. So much flavour.

I find it particularly satisfying in this hot weather.

    Ahh, I want one now....

Yeah, I've been having Howling Gale, IPAs and the odd belgian beer in the heat. I'll move back to porters, stouts and strong ales when we get out usual weather back :)

I had a pint of it on draught in a bar in Limerick the other night. Loved every drop.

That said, my favourite of theirs is still the Kindred Spirit!

I'd love to try HG on draught. I've had a few Kindred Spirits now in the bottle, I like it a lot. I'm still looking forward to this years Franciscan Well's Jameson Stout batch, which beats it for me.

Re Curim I'd swear I've had had it on tap (not Cask) in ATG. Was a while back though but can't remember exactly when

Sipping a Belfast Ale here. Not to my liking at all, actually not sure if I'll finish it tbh

Sierra Nevada Hoptimum - I love IPAs but lately have been turned off by them a little bit due to freshness issues bar for ruthless rye which is pretty good for when you get it 4/10€. I had a Green Flash West Coast IPA lately which was really good, but this one is just phenomenal. Granted, if you don't like heavy hops you'll probably hate it. But it's really good if you do, and at 10.4 hides the strength well. I don't like the sweetness of Harcore IPA, I love the bitterness level of this one and it's much more what I like in this type of beer.

    The Hoptimum hit Dublin yet?

Tried the Kinsale Pale Ale there for the first time.

Not sure what I was expecting, but it was gorgeous. Reminded me of Punk IPA.

ATG just tweeted they have Hoptimum and Southern Harvest in
