You get The train to Connolly Station and then a Luas to Tallaght.

Train from Sligo to Connolly and then LUAS from Connolly to Tallaght, make sure the LUAS is to Tallaght as some spur off to Citywest now.

Well, if you'd like to be fined, then no, it's not stupid.

Yes it would. You could get fined.

MOD HAT ON - We'll have no suggestions of bunking on the LUAS thank you.

If you were born in 1998 Jimmy, you're at most 15.

Interestingly(!), the Transport for Ireland journey planner doesn't suggest any train/luas options from Sligo to Tallaght.

The morning offerings are 23 bus and a Luas, or a 23 bus then a 66 then a Luas???

Suggestions involving Iarnrod Eireann then say to take a 27 bus (possibly faster off peak?) or a Bus Eireann 126 from Amiens St to Tallaght. Is BÉ even allowed take you on a trip within the city?

    http://journeyplanner.transportforireland.ie/nta/XSLT_TRIP_REQUEST2?sessionID=0&language=en&ntaPublicMacro=true&name_origin=suburbID:57305310:10851011:Sligo:569155:164150:ITMR&type_origin=any&name_destination=suburbID:57102030:10823018:Tallaght:708911:272502:ITMR&type_destination=any

Edit: The journey planner doesn't give short urls and the long one doesn't work properly either!

I think that's only if they are travelling with a paying adult.

I have come across a worryingly high number of people from the country who seem to think the Luas is free. What could possibly give this idea?!

i'm pretty sure that your train ticket should cover the first leg of your trip in dublin. Ask for a ticket to tallaght in sligo and they shoudl sort you out
