    opinions of this?

    mignolet

    zabeleta
    mertezacker
    coleman

    zaha
    mirales
    bale
    hazard
    michu

    benteke
    berbatov

    subs

    jones
    mcnaughton
    baker
    davis

    Two things

    1. are their better subs at the prices I paid?
2.I could swap out zaha for kagawa but I would need to downgrade benteke to a 7.5m striker , should I do this?

    what ye think lads?

Ben Turner probably more likely to start than McNaughton

Not sure Baker will be 1st choice either, maybe Chester in for him.

Boruc obviously favoured over Davis, Davis being a popular 4m choice but may drop in price as people realise he doesn't play, beware!

Too much money tied up in defence. Leaves your midfield and forward line without any attacking cover from Utd/City/Arsenal/Chelsea.

Id probably start by taking at least Evra out of your defence and possibly zabaleta/hart and 1 city should be enough

2nd Draft, took Bale out because of all the speculation and the almost certainty that he will leave! How would ye rate this team? Bench is quite weak which is my only concern. May replace negredo with Soldado if he signs for Spurs

    Mignolet
    Coleman Terry Mertesacker
    Cazorla Hazard Mirallas Brady
    V.Persie Negredo Cornelius

    Davis Turner Dikgacoi Baker

Waaaay too much resting on Liverpool,Chelsea and Arsenal! You've essentially got a three-team 11 :P

I think you're far too over reliant on Arsenal, Chelsea and Liverpool. If they have a rubbish week then so do you.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 16,305 ✭✭✭✭Mr.Prodston

    Walker - No
    Sterling - No
    Giroud AND Walcott - No
No Bale or RVP - No

Mickey Turner - Hell to the Yes :pac:

Downgrade Walker to Coleman and Sterling to a 4.5 and try and bring in RVP or Bale in place of Giroud or Walcott would be my advice.

This is what I'm playing with for GW1.

    Mignolet
    Coleman - Connolly - Toure
    Zaha - Hazard (C) - Bale - Walcott
Weimann - Negredo - Lukaku (VC)

    Boruc, Mertesacker, Koren and Parr.

If Zaha doesn't start the Community shield, he'll be dropped to the bench in favour of Mertesacker at the back. I'm unsure on Weimann too. At the moment, for 6mill, he's a decent shout for the DGW as he'll start both games, but Villa have a very difficult three weeks. If Soldado joins Spurs, and is 9mill or less, I'll take him over Negredo and up Weimann to Hooper, Bony, Berbatov or Wolfie.

Yeah I did the same last year goalkeeper and defender from big teams and once team concedes both players down points . It dose come off but probably a lot less than we think

Could the new bonus point system help defenders ???

i'm not sure about Arteta (though if Suarez goes to Arsenal he could be a sneaky differential - more penos), and i'd swap Walters for Snodgrass

Concidered Snodgrass but he doesnt rotate as well with the rest of my midfielders .

i wouldn't worry about that so much. every player has the same amount of home and away games whichever way you look at it

Decided to make a backup considering the likelihood of Bale leaving so reckon I'm going with this. (I haven't planned for the DGW much yet, be much easier to judge closer to the start but Benteke or Lukaku will probably be in for Sturridge and I know Azpilicueta might be unavailable).

    db4e265bb2f70e888a1e41ae16b040bf.png

I fancy Southampton to do quite well and Ramirez should have a prominent role in that so that's why he's in there. I also didn't originally have Hooper so Pilkington might need to be changed (Joe Cole maybe, would be looking for some advice on this one). Though I do think Pilkington is great value at that price. I've always liked Navas so gonna take the chance that his pace and crossing will do well in England. And I know Neil Taylor might not get his place back but if he does he should do well, plus he's my 3rd sub so I don't care for now.

Yeah looks like it will but don't see it tipping the balance that much.
Picking captains will be a real headache for you. Dont see any standout captain choices for you week one. All you heavy hitters are in defence and id never be overly confident picking a defender as captain
Id imagine with that team it would be quiet a regular problem, while other people will be captaining Bale, Rvp, Mata, Walcott etc who have the ability to rack up big hauls

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 633 ✭✭✭Henwin

I had a team with bale, etc in it but If he is sold I mite go with tis team:

    Mignolet

    coleman mertersacker reid (west ham)

    carrick Walcott hazard -capt pienarr

    Van persie berbatov weimann

    subs: bunn, bassong, garrido, routledge

Mirallas very undderated imo. He will be a steal at 7.5m as a midfielder.

Agreed, he's been banging them in pre-season. Another is Anelka, who at £5.5m is a bargain and seems set to nail down a regular spot.

If Bale is gone my attack is looking like this.

    9itdnr.png

Swap Cech out for Hart after GW1
Swap Hazard out for Walcott after GW2 (if Lukaku is getting gametime)

Another option is to downgrade Zabaleta to a £4m defender and upgrade Anelka to Berbatov. My ideal frontline after the first few weeks is RVP-Anelka-Berbs

Zaha would be great if he starts, but it's unlikely I'll have him in there.

Our Midfield and forwards are almost identical. Planning Lukaku out for Berbs too and thinking Silva over Zaha with a cheaper defense. Walcott in for Hazard too after GW1 or 2 depending.

Carrick? I'm sorry but that's an automatic ban from the fantasy sports arena right there

Just to put a face to the name:

At this moment in time I'm pretty happy with this. The only worry is Walcott running riot against Villa

Finding it a lot easier to fit in players with Bale gone. I hope for FF he goes, but for the sake of the PL that he stays.

Do you think Toure will nail down a spot for Liverpool right from the start? If he does I may look at fitting him in, decent price at £5m and Liverpool were solid last season.

As much as I think Terry is an absolute bargain at £6m this year, I think he'll be rested for the Villa game so he can face United, meaning his first four games could be Hull, blank, United(A), blank, Everton(A). Might have to take a wait and see approach with him - I think Cech might be the better defensive option for the opening DGW.

The Nani spot is up for grabs really but I want a 'big' midfielder in there. If Zaha looks like nailing down a spot I'll have him, and use the extra £1m to bump Toure up to Zabaleta. Mirallas and Anelka have really impressed me in pre-season, and if Bale goes I think these two are certs to be in my team.

    Transfers would likely be:
GW1 - Cech out for Hart (Chelsea face United and City have Cardiff)
GW2 - Hazard out for Walcott OR Lukaku out for Berbs (saving £0.5m)

Would need to be wary of price changes though, if Walcott scores in GW1 at home to Aston Villa, his price will 100% rise. Also wary of starting with no City players...

How would people rate this team?

To be honest I can't see Zaha nailing down a spot, as much as I'd like to see it.

Can see Moyes going with Nani / Kagawa / Rooney as the front three with Zaha being the rotation option for the three of them when one is being rested

Do you think Rooney leaving would make things better for Nani?
