Go around local shops/restraunts/retails etc and ask if they have any spots to offer, also give them a CV. They will give you a ring if they are interested. I would say local family run shops are more likely to recruit you.

I can't see any problem with that, but that might be overpriced (I really have no clue about the price of washing a car.) Aren't there any local restraunts near you? I have a friend who is 16 who got a summer job as a waiter in a small local restraunt ... :pac:

Nah don't worry! Many people think us teenagers are lazy during the summer! Getting a summer job will reflect postively on you, the ones laughing would be the people on the dole! I will applying to many places once I get my CV ready and some confidence kicked right into me :pac:.

Personally I wouldn't do it but it's a good idea and washing the interior aswell might be worth the 10 euro. But you need to take away the costs of the cleaning products you use.

Here is the Motor forum, you can get more information there:http://www.boards.ie/vbulletin/forumdisplay.php?f=47

Seen this on latest posts and said I'd mention this, not to frighten you but if you mess up washing a car and get grit in the sponge and damage the paint etc you'll be in a bit of trouble.
Just do as previously said, you'll get a job somewhere and it'll look great and mature on your cv in a few years when your peers have nothing.

You'll learn how to make a CV in TY/5th Year, or you could easily google it :pac:, not that hard to make a CV, but you need to put a lot of thought into it.

You won't needone at 16 I think but as early work experience it'll look good on your future one.
It's usually €7 for am attended wash by the way, you need to think that if you blow up your karcher washer how much that'll put you back before you're in profit again, also you need to use good quality cleaners to get the best finish and get your mini business a little name for itself :)
All this had to be factored in.

Like I said, working in local shops (retail/restraunts) :pac: ...

    What is retail ?

I think a job where you're working for someone man, and all the onus isn't on you to do everything correctly.
If you start washing cars its your money you'll invest into the bits you need and maintenance on the washer etc.
If you work somewhere you get a wage and do your job and you don't worry about anything else.
less pressure you see? And you'll also have a reference, someone that will tell your next employer that yes, this chap is worth employing.

Shops that sell something or provide a service. Good ones would be small corner shops and small branches such as Spar or Centra etc.

If you live in an estate man I'd think of asking about and seeing could you wash your neighbours cars for like €5 if you could wash 10 cars a week that'd be €50, see does anyone need help cutting lawns, trimming hedges that kind of thing. You'd make a handsome bit of money at that if you got a name as a handyman. ;)

There ya go man, you'll get something wait and see. Ask your local shops as well! Ask people you know if there's anything going where they work.
You won't succeed unless you try.
