    If you press 't' in game and type in /spawn , you will be brought to the main city. Have a walk through that city and you will begin to see the trend. I believe the plots are 11x11. They're marked out along the paths using wooden fences.

    If you want to build in the main spawn town, there are pre-assigned areas marked with fences.

    If you want to build anywhere else you can do what you like.

    Also server will be down for about 3 minutes.

    I think I've got it. Also, there seem to be areas where there are no buildings but a lot of torches - I'll assume that's how someone stakes a claim and I'll avoid those areas too.

    So far my style has been to find a spot far away from everyone else and go hog wild. Last time (on the FTB server) I basically demolished a mountain from the inside out ... Frank Lloyd Wright I ain't. :o

    Be on the look out for signs. Generally, that is how people claim their plot of land. Torches don't really mean much. I go buck wild with torches on my adventures.

    I actually found a posted 11x11 spot just off that map, on a small hill to the south-west. So none of you nice folk should be disturbed by the sound of my building works, or the Creepers blowing chunks out of my walls ... :mad:

    FTB is down for a while. Once there's some stable 1.6 version out I'll put up a fresh map.

    Just in case anyone doesn't know, I have a villager village just north west of spawn town, it has a zombie farm built in so if anyone wants enchanted armor without all the mining, just go and kill zombies there.

    Edit: Never mind. Zombies somehow spawned inside a fully lit up and walled village and killed all but one villager. Screw this game sometimes...

    Easily possible. Problem is getting the bastards to go anywhere. Took me 10 straight hours to get 2 villagers up one flight of stairs to start this village.

    Yeah, seems to be back up now :confused:

    On a similar note, don't suppose a Mod can update the links on the first page of this thread? Noticed earlier that some of them (including the old nginx dynmap link) are badly outdated at this point :p

    Just saw there was a new map up, so going to start up again and build myself a little home out in the forrests :D

    Better yet, going to go all Grinch like, and build a snow fortress on the cold hills overlooking the town :P Just to check, am I ok building in the snowy hills south east of the town?

    As far as I remember, anything goes outside of the town boundary.

    I've got a compound almost as large as the town itself, just north of town. If I can build that there, you can surely build to the south.
