Had a pint and a half of #Mashtag by brewdog last night and thought it was rather lovely.

Had a glass of it on Saturday. Thought it was quite subtle for a Brewdog beer.

It's made for the Belgian market.
sure I know, which is why I got it when I saw it there. dont remember seeing it in Bruges despite shops there having a far larger selection.

Possibly the most remarkable thing about it is that the label is more orange than yellow (/cream/ beige or whatever a female who knows their colours would call it) than you normally see on Guinness bottle labels.

Having one of these tonight, lovely subtle ginger taste to it. Really enjoy the William Bro's stuff, especially like the big variety they have.

Was recommended this in Deveney's one day, very nice

A mate works in Edinburgh, either Aldi or Lidl sells a pile of their beers for something like £1.49 a bottle

Had my first Guinness Foreign Extra the other night. I'd never had one. Pleasantly surprised.

Huge fan of Williams Bros beers also. Love the seaweed ale and the Scottish lager.

Nice one - Good that there is some more Craft beer choice around the Grafton st area.

Just on the Trouble Brewing "Deception"

    What beer is that?

It's not listed on their own website nor on the drinkstore one

    Thanks

Thanks guys, not mad on the Golden ale but I can't wait to try the "Sabotage IPA"

From the McHughs website; "It makes extensive use of Galaxy hops, a variety prized for its tropical fruit flavours".

Would that make it similar to the Brewdog Punk IPA's grapefruit taste Or am I way off?

Also has anybody seen Sabotage on Draught?

Trouble brewing's website says it's available on draught but doesn't list any places.

    Thanks

It's nowhere near as highly hopped.

I think I saw it in Against the Grain the other day.

I think the Blind Pig in Limerick had it for a while, but I don't know if it's still available there.

Had 2 bottles from the BrewDog IPA Is Dead 2013 series over the last couple of nights. The Dana & The El Dorado. Pretty solid IPA's which I really enjoyed. Nothing particularly different or exciting with them though, but unless the hops used are really distinctive you're never gonna get something groundbreaking from this type of thing.

I've tried Kvass a few times (really popular as a soft drink in my OH's country), I can't stomach it.

Bazmo and Seaneh was Mashtag expensive ? Any idea if bottles of it are going to grace our shores ?

Not a beer drink, but if anybody enjoys sours or beers made with brett yeast, well worth getting a "Dublin Kombucha" drink from health stores/stoneybatter

Was €5 for a 3/4 pint (16oz) glass in Salt House, not bad value for a 7.5% abv beer but not cheap either.

No idea if bottles will be sold here, you'd have to ask the lads at Four Corners that.

Bought a good few various bottles of Irish craft stuff today, after a while of trying foreign shtuff. Mainly just to taste them all again.

Fucck the naysayers, we have some fantastic brews. IMO, a lot of them are as good as the great beers anywhere.

Tried the Pale, Red and Porter in J.W. Sweetmans last night, loved both the Pale and the Porter. 4 quid a pop too, great stuff.

What did you pick up, as a matter of interest. I'm gonna do the same thing tonight and pick up a load of Irish stuff. I've been putting off getting certain Irish beers, for a while now, in favor of foreign stuff, every time I'm in the off license. But, not tonight!

Had a few milk stouts in ATG last night

Left Hand was gorgeous as was another which was made by Bristol Brewing (who I'd never heard of)

Luckily there was a tab going as the Bristol was €9! Tab or no tab no way would I have ordered it had I known the price

Did you try Buried at Sea?

Cake, and grief counseling, will be available at the conclusion of the test

Wasn't drinking it last night but have tried it. Very nice IMO

A guy I work with is in his 50s, I (wrongly) assumed would be set in his Guinness ways. Pleasantly surprised to see him try everything going & enlighten me that he's been drinking O'Hara's etc regularly since our last visit!
