Friendships with the opposite sex

I'm just looking for some general feedback here...are most people ok with their OH striking up friendships with the opposite sex?

Trust my bf totally but unfortunately I am a bit of a jealous person. Or else i'm not and actually totally justified! Not really trusting my own feelings at the mo.

OH has a good few female friends since before I came along. Txts them every so often, would often leave x's and calls them hun. Tbh this isn't the issue for me as he'd leave x's for his mom, sisters n my mom so I know theres nothing to that! Plus i've met most.

However, he started a new job and is getting friendly with one of the girls. Saw a fb msg that while wasn't of a flirty nature, was just all "nice" and close and friendly!

Aaaand i'm jealous. So, do I need to get over this yes? Suppose coz I don't really have any close male friends I find it a bit hard....also he was logged into his fb on my computer and that's when I saw that particular msg. My own fault for getting upset bout seeing stuff I shouldnt have, I know.

I think if you weren't a tad jealous it would be more unusual. If you're cool about the old friends but just a little freaked out by the new ones, I think that's natural. He's in a new environment and anyone would be thinking 'is he going to meet someone he likes better than me' I would try and put this to the back of your mind. The only time you should worry is if he starts changing his habits or standing you up and then you should start to get worried. Otherwise I'm afraid me dear, he will always be bumping into new ladies and you will be bumping into new men, that's life ! Enjoy it while you can....:P
