Car tax? Havnt recieved log book yet can i tax it?

I have bought a ford focus van bearly 3 weeks ago. It hasnt been taxed since april 2013 and i havnt recieved log book yet. It is insured till august in my name and i want to know can i tax it without recieving log book yet? It is tested too.

If so then you may be able to use the PIN retrieval to get a new PIN and tax it online.
