Hard to say. I haven't really done any stress testing since this god-damned heat started, so I couldn't say for sure, but they're roughly about the same. Prime maxed out at 93° after an hour (that's with fairly high ambients, I'd take a stab and say around 25°), where-as the old setup got to around 80-85° on a normal day.

I have screens of my 7950 using over 2.6 GB with MSAA on :P But AFAIK, it's just a quirk of the game engine (not bothering to give the VRAM back even if it doesn't necessarily need it).

I'm surprised the 7970 performs so close to the 680gtx and the titan. I may just have to get a 1440p monitor and a second 7970 at some stage.

I've only got an ASrock pro4 board though. Does anyone have any benchmarks for how much performance loss there is on a 4x lane for crossfire.

Was the crossfire driver update released and tested yet?

    You're talking about a 5% hit with the PCI-E 2 x4 bandwidth, with a single card.
I reckon there could extra communication in crossfire so it could be more. Looks to be worse at lower resolutions.
A single 7970 actually handles a 1440p monitor monitor quite well.

This is clever - a little vortex gun that gives feedback to gestural interfaces:

Yea, if I have read it correctly, the highest anti aliasing setting they used was 4x AA-bit pointless at that pixel density I suppose. AA & modded textures seem to have the biggest culprits for high VRAM usage. Found a good article about this somewhere, will post when I find it.

What a monitor though..wonder what 3 of these in eyefinity/surround would look like:eek:

Can't find the vram article, if you are looking-google auto-complete threw up 'VRAM flap'-don't be in a rush to look at this people....

Have any of you Quickfire TK users figured out the correct way to get into the BIOS (via the 4 (DEL) key)? I managed to do last week, and I can't seem to replicate the necessary steps as I applied them last week. Here is the link I used: https://www.google.ie/url?sa=t&rct=j&q=&esrc=s&source=web&cd=1&cad=rja&ved=0CC0QFjAA&url=http%3A%2F%2Fsupport.coolermaster.com%2Fentries%2F23816768-Can-t-Enter-Bios-with-Keyboard&ei=hF3sUYX_NKS47Qalo4GACg&usg=AFQjCNFLhwM8Vkl57X5mSd7SGMb0_0VdXw&sig2=_ZPc38UHXCkv5aVS0lMP2Q&bvm=bv.49478099,d.ZGU

A quick google suggests that you need to disable num lock before entering the splash screen and then hit the del/4 key:

Edit: Sorry, I skimmed your post and didn't see the link, which already points out that numlock has to be turned off...

So I came home this evening to find a delivery from OCUK, new keyboard and Xbox controller, only took 2 days but even more amazing, in amongst all the bubble warp was .......... a packet of jelly tots!!! :D

Bizarrely this happened again! I ordered another 7850 from OCUK last week (and received 9 frees games as opposed to the 8 advertsied!) and another packet of jelly tots! I wonder do they just do this on all orders?!

Most of the time I just get 'free' coupons for vistaprint whenever I order from amazon. Or wine and clothes shop coupons from hardwareversand.

I've gotten a few random freebies from ebay sellers though. A few rubbers when I was ordering stationary, a retractable USB cable when getting some computer stuff. I think it's a nice touch so long as it's useful to me. I'd don't think I'd eat the jellies though; they probably have cocaine in them to get you to buy from them again.

Can't say as I ate them either tbh but it's a nice touch, makes you laugh!

Should be in a game folder somewhere. Or in a games folder in your Documents (starcraft saves replays here).
