Banana plugs and spring clips

    Lads my amp only has spring clip connections but my speakers can take banana plugs so is it ok to just have the bare copper wire shoved into the spring clips on the amp end and terminate the cable with banana plugs at the speaker end?

    Yes. Make sure you peel the banana first though.

    Just make sure to twist the bare ends up well. Avoid stray strands crossing each other.

    can't stress that enough, one stray stand and you could have a short that's very hard to pin down. If you're that way inclined you should really solder them together - as long as you don't go bigger than the clip allows.
