Can you not source a freebie battery from someone that might solve this for you outright if not help troubleshoot the issue?

Well I'm off Wednesday so I can swap the battery from my daily and see if it's drained in the morning.
I half suspect the alarm is sapping it.

@Mugs: The Nissan is still with me for the foreseeable, I've bought a nifty little project to keep me happy though. :D

That actually one of the better looking ones I've seen. Really. The colour suits it, especially with the headlights up.

In unrelated news, sometimes saving on tyres can go a bit too far

I've a battery here I was going to fcuk out. It's a ford battery I'd say it's good for another while, might need a bit of a charge as it's out about a week.

If it's up for grabs I may grab it off you?
It'd save me having two cars with no batteries. :p

I realised that too in the last few weeks. It's up over 1.50 for diesel in alot of places around Kilkenny.

Can anyone link me to the thread that was on here ages ago with your man that converted a full sized coach into a camper for cheap tax and insurance ?

It was an advert on donedeal ?

Not really tbh, I've said as much to cyclists in person too.

Im the kind of person that (well I wouldnt abandon the bmw for fear it would be stolen, but I used to in the golf and other older cars I drove) would get out and confront someone for bad driving, incorrect lane usage, etc.

Would you waddle over to their window?

Anyone know anything about that Waterless Wash & Wax that Aldi have in this week? I might give it a go, just as a quick detailer.

I got it and I'm going to try it on the other half's car at the weekend.

Fairly silly to reply to someone's who's clearly banned and can't reply for at least two weeks, no?

Failed NCT today. Have all new shocks/springs arriving tomorrow, but sent it in anyway with a broken rear spring.

Only failed on a rear brake line. Top marks for observation there, there's 6 inches of spring missing.

Do people still sand down brake pipes and respray, assuming they aren't corroded?

Any reports of rain around the country yet? Still dry here in Dublin. The roads will be fair schlippy after that dry spell.

As long as they are not corroded or leaking as you say then cleaning them up is normally enough to get them through.

I can confirm it started raining here in Tipp about 5 minutes before I was about to go out and lie on my back to replace an intercooler hose. Had to change it anyway as I need the car later so got a bit drenched!

    :D:D

That's why you bought the MX5 isn't it Cian :pac:

The three fiddy zee can be a bit of a handful in the wet with the TCS switched off. Almost brand new F453s on the rear. A blip of throttle at 2k rpm on a wet roundabout would be enough..!

Edit we'll have to do a mini Dub meet at some stage so we can have a gander at that MX5

Don't notice if it's happening around where ye guys are but since it started raining in the Portlaoise area the roads have been foaming up white.
Must have something to do with the hot weather but as time goes on its getting very heavy on the roads in some places.

    Very strange.
