Can anyone out there recommend a mechanic who knows what's what with titanium frames? I need a tube reamed and faced (is that the right expression) for a new Ti headset.

I'm thinking of getting a Ti frame and although I don't have a working knowledge, I've been doing a little research lately.
Firstly, titanium needs to be treated in a very specific environment e.g. an argon flooded chamber .
Second, should all your titanium parts not be covered by a lifetime warranty by the manufacturer ?
And last. You might like to try Des Maye aka Raparee bikes in Clonard Co. Meath. One of the countries last frame builders with steel. He's not building anymore but he may be able to point you in the right direction.
