Well done Phil, and to think we didn't bother showing your first nine holes. Splendid.

    Great finish from Phil.

Another golden opportunity lost be Westwood.

Well Gmac called it bang on last week. That scottish open would have been terrible practice for the open

Lol. No comparison in difficulty and set up between Castle Stuart & Muirfield.

The win was good for confidence, sure, but Mickelson is simply one of the greatest golfers the world has ever seen, also one of the nicest. Delighted for him.

Was it just me or did anyone else feel slightly uncomfortable being able to hear what Phil was saying to his family?

Has the engraver started on the Claret Jug yet ?

Something weird about listening to a family of mammy daddy and 3 young girls talking about putting alright haha.

Imagine what they talk about around the dinner table.

He'll have to engrave over westwoods name as the bbc/ media had told him that he could put westy on it last night.

No sure they engraved over Westwood with poulter 45 minutes ago remember

Stenson writes with his left hand but plays golf right handed. That's unusual

For a country that doesn't "do" links golf they sure turn out enough winners. It must be a case of the top US players being so good on fast surfaces which links often are.

do Zach johnsen and stenson not talk. They literally threw the score cards at each other

It is but I think it makes perfect sense. His left is his leading hand. It may result in more control on the ball.
