    Hey,

I am feeding into flight radar using my airnav. It was offline for a while last night as I was installing a new pci card and running a lot of updates on my server. Apart from last night I have had my feed up 24/7 for the past few weeks and from what I can see it has not had any issues. I think there are quite a good few feeders in Dublin as my id is EIDW15. I am thinking that any problems are on the FR24 side so hopefully they will have it sorted shortly.

Andy, how do you find CQcomms price wise? IMHO they are really expensive to buy anything from.

I've never really noticed too many issues with FR24. On the odd occasion I've noticed that it can be minutes behind real time. Earlier today it was about 5 mins behind but a restart of the iPhone app and it was fine. I've also noticed aircraft that appear to be 'stopped' in mid flight but again, a restart of the app sorts it out. Maybe it's an app/iPhone/FR24 issue rather than the feed.

Not all aircraft have an ADS-B transponder so never expect to see all aircraft on FR24.

Sometimes Will can be ok and is open for a bit of bartering i still find some stuff cheaper in maplins.

What antenna are you running Dublinflyer

I am using a fairly standard radar rama for the long range stuff and I have a directional yagi pointed towards the airport but I am not sure how much that adds to the reception. Sometimes I see aircraft taxiing but not always.

The Radar Rama works well for the price. The screen shot is what I can pick up on a normal morning and given the fact that the antenna is not too high on my roof and a bit blocked by the chimney on one side it picks up a lot.

Thats actually not a bad view of what your getting. nice range on it :)

So I have a bit of work on my feed. It was hot up on the roof today ;-). I have put up my homemade antenna tuned to 120mhz and finally replaced the coax with some new stuff. I think this has greatly improved the reception I am getting. If you can have a listen and let me know what you think. All good and bad comments welcome.

Great feed, are there any plans to include Dublin FIS on 118.500?
This will cover most of the local GA traffic.

    Thanks

I used to cover that freq, but my feed was too busy so I discontinued it. Maybe one of the other feeders could put it in.

Mech1/ Pat - excellent feed to LiveATC, best I have heard, :-)

This is becoming addictive, I've been listening to it all day while spotting GA up and down the Liffey and around the city working the tower freq and having flightradar24 in the background.

Thats the stuff I need to hear!!!:D

It gets a bit "worthless" without the feedback (top fifty feeds list is good for me), I have very little interest in the subject myself, I just seen a gap that I had the gear and a little ambition to fill.

    Mech1,

Have you ever tried to add Weston to the feed. I think some a/c will come in from there. I can't get it.

    Tower 122.40 ATIS 118.875

    Newcastle is on 122.55
