Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Daytime Weekday Skirmishes

    Hi all,

I am relatively new to the sport and have noticed there are very few if any sites offering day time weekday skirmishes (understandably). Being a shift worker I get about 2 weekend days off in a 6 week period and the boss(at home) would not be overly pleased with me disappearing for the whole day. I'm sure there must be others in the same position as myself who would be interested in getting together for midweek sessions. I have been in touch with one of the sites and they would be prepared to open on a weekday for numbers of 12 or more and would even be willing to announce the date on their facebook page to attract more players.

Would anyone else be interested in this? It's in the Newtownmountkennedy area and if there's enough interest the next stage would be to try to organise some suitable dates. Or are there any other sites that would be interested in a similar arrangement.

Anyway let me know what you think.

I think the closest you'll get is Fingal Airsoft's Bi-Weekly wednesday games, they run in the evening.

The problem with many sites is numbers. People promise the world and 40 of their mates, and 10 show up. No site can afford to run under those conditions. People are also unwilling to pay a deposit which in my eyes is only fair given the fact a site costs money even to open i.e. 20 mins either side for open / close. That's maybe 3 staff and they have to be paid.

There's two sides to the coin but speaking from experience, its very hard to get 12+ people consistently and make it viable from a business perspective.

When HRTA was still running we had over 10 and close to 20 every week during the midweek games. And never had problems.
