    Just wondering where I can source official house price statistics/trends for the years 1998 to 2013?CSO,Central Bank or ESRI?A link to a graph in relation house price trends would be appreciated.

    CSO have 'average house price' data set here. It goes back to 1975 :O

    There is an actual index as well, although it doesn't go back nearly as far.

    i.e The monthly reports from the CSO on house prices you hear about in the paper are from the index rather than that average price index linked to above.

    More-up-to-date as well.

    The ESRI data is now essentially usurped since the CSO starting publishing their 'Residential Property Price Index'
