JellySMS group texts - balance depleted to 0

Hi, I am using the paid version. I sent a text to 173 people using JellySMS in conjunction with ABContacts (used to create groups on the iPhone) and an O2 prepaid account. Before sending I had 471 texts remaining. The length of the text I sent was 319 characters, so I would have expected to have used 346 of the texts, leaving a balance of 125. However the balance is 0, and now I cannot be sure how many people I sent the text to.

Anyone come across this before?

Any special characters in the text. Some of them can use more than 2 or 3 spaces

I have some round brackets ( ), spaces and the @ symbol.

With any special characters, it converts to Unicode, with 70 characters per text.
