That 600 is just a rough guess - there is more to it than that so it can vary. You dont have to do anything until you renew. I would suggest you shop around with all the insurers in the market incl
    aviva
    axa
    allianz
    liberty
    rsa
    asguard
    chartis
    aig
    aon
    fbd
    nononsense
    tesco
    one direct
    zurich
    ulster bank
    aib
and no harm chancing a broker or two

Nononsense/FBD wont even look at me for some reason.
AIB wont insure cars above 1.6 (stupid)
UlsterBank plus any other banks I wont even touch, I've given them enough money for nothing so I refuse to give them any more money.
Shopping around it is then :) Thanks for the input

It is a matter of finding what you are happy with. I will say that the banks are brokers not insurance companies so any policy you buy from a bank is with the likes of RSA (but the bank gets a cut).

The list i gave you there is not a full one - there are more insurers in the market.

With that tax and NCT, would've been great bangeromics 3 years ago

Considering offering him a couple of hundred for it, as seen (if its still in same condition)
then tax for 3/6 months per year and classic insurance.

I offered him 1200 for it about 2 months ago buthe said no that it was too low. There is a set of brake pads in the boot too for when they need to be changed he said

It does, but when you take into account there's no test, no tax, the belt might need doing and the mileage is high - those engines are weak. I would steer well clear :)

    new test, asking €1400.

at first i thought 212k was a bit high, but then i reminded myself it was a TDi and that that engine is hardly yet worn in.

however he says there is only 100,000 on the engine so you would have to check the history to see what happened with the last engine
