She is dead she is a victim . Just because she done somthing bad on the way or made bad choices doesnt make her any less a victim.

For instance sombody who drives badly by speeding or bad practice if they die in a road crash they are still called a victim .

Dont take away from the fact that this was a young life tragically lost to the world of crime and drugs

But they are not "victims" the people they kill are victims.....they are instigators.

And on that note, why exactly is Ducie "famous", is he in a band? TV presenter? Famous charity campaigner? Someone out there tell me why a grown man still working with his daddy is considered a socialite and worthy of media coverage, im genuinely curious?

I often wondered this aswell.... the state off him, he could be mistaken for a rough farmer from the arse end of Mayo! I think that he had to be the middle man between the drug dealer and the user (or just simply be the dealer)! Can't think of any other plausible reason as to how he mixed with z class celeb circles and be regarded as a "socialite" by the press.! He worked as as trucker driver ffs, not morketing!

He was "famous" for being nobody....pretty much like 90% of Ireland's "celebs"

I find it disgusting that if this were some random girl down the country no one would care, but just cause this one was a model or whatever she gets articles written about her for years after almost to the point of being patronised. It's ridiculous everyone knows what drugs can do, those who take them like this are not victims or crime or anything else, just victims of their own self destructive nature.

Drug dealer or pusher suppliers are the instigators . The older people present both in her life and at the party should have known better but they where the ones suppling her . these were probably the peer pressure of the group that first introduced her to the drugs and told her its cool and what all celebs and top models do . And then when she made it big hung off her coat tails

Correct and right . 100 normal joes can die from this and never be heard of in the media , whereas when a celeb who is already in the public eye and also may already influance young and impressionable dies it highlights the effects and dangers .

That is why she has become the "poster boy" for cocaine awarness in ireland .

No!!!! **** off right now with that oh poor her and the peer pressure and her hangers on are to blame. She was a well educated articulate grown ass woman who made the choice to snort cocaine! The moment she CHOSE to snort her first line is the day she lost any sympathy with me. No one forced her to do it.

Nope that would be Gerry Ryan another dead junkie who deserves not one iota of sympathy.

Kathy french would be more in the lime light for death by cocaine than gerry ryan in my opinion . Kathy would be more of the influencal generationwith most of her life ahead of her when she died rather than a grown ass man as ya so put it

She was 24 when she died so if she was doing it for more than 6 years she was an even bigger ****in eejit and lucky to have lived that long.

Only cos Gerry's coke addiction was hushed up almost to the point of not being reported at all.

At 24 i taught i knew it all how wrong i was .

Anyway she was no saint but then again she doesnt deserve some of the names or some of the strong feeling of disgust shown towards her when none of us here really knew what she was like in person

I feel sorry for her family it was terrible for them to lose someone so young, I don't agree with the Irish media fawning all over her saying she was a victim and blaming everyone else but her.

Well you've still got an awful lot to learn at whatever age you are now if you're ****ing on about adults being peer-pressured into taking coke because it's "cool."

Most probabaly , im not defending or condoneing drug taking . What i am saying is that there can be very influencial forces on young people to lead them to bad decision making that can result in their deaths , again victims of circumstances , peer pressure whatever you call it she has still died .

What i would say is that her death has probably highlighted this fact to the youth of 5years ago (?)and stopped or reduced the amount of coke they consume .

There are plenty of small minded misguided adults in socitey . There are loads of impressionable adults in all walks of life that are peer pressured into different thing not only drugs and i think you have a lot to learn if you think adults dont get peer pressured .

Ahhh go on ,go on ,go on, Have another pint and so on so forth

NO!!! I don't drink or smoke....at 20 i had friends saying ah go on have one you might like it, 20 years later i still get the same...i CHOOSE to say no she could have done the same. Everyone has a choice and it has nothing to do with being weak/strong minded. If i gave you a gun and said shoot the next poster would you do it? Of course not because you know its WRONG.

You are joking right? Is this some sort of level? No one cared she had died they carried on and still do carry on snorting coke. Go to any niteclub...enter a cubicle and run your finger across the top and chances are you will end up with white powder on your finger ffs they even found traces in Leinster house!

Well for the majority of folk they have been pressured into somthing in their adult life . Could have been getting or changing a car or kitchen , boss and team pressireing ya into staying late in work .

Not all peer pressure is of an illegal type and doesnt have to be a big or life changing decision , but it happens
