Best overdrive pedal and amp combination

    I would like to start a discussion on overdrive and distortion pedals and amp combination the people are most happy with.

    I have been a long time ibanez Tubescreamer TS9dx with a Marshal tsl 100.
    I moved to using a Blackstar 200 which has loads of top end on its eq which I find the tube scream cuts out.
    What combinations are you using out there and what kind of sounds are you getting.

    Fulltone Fulldrive 2 and a Keeley baked TS9 do the trick for me on the clean channel of anything... Boss GE-7 for a volume/mid boost for some solos and off we go 8)

    A DIY TS9 into a clean fender type amp (I have a ss fender for lugging around or
    a VHT at home).

    I add a touch of chorus for my "John Squire on a budget" tone. (And that's where the comparison ends :-) ).

    A John Truba 30 watt head into a 1x12 cab with a celestion vintage 30. In front of that, recently a Lovepedal clone, but previous to that also a Barber direct drive, and a son of clay jones od. I also use a Timmy for a more "fenderised" boost. Amp rarely goes above 4.5 master volume, channel volume is on 7, boost on amp is set to 2.
