Refresher sweets and tbh a lot of those junky full of sugar kids sweets taste crap these days. Why? cause they got rid of all the artificial flavours, but that what made them taste bloody nice, just cause some stupid feckin parents were feeding them to kids like they were a staple part of their diet they had to get rid of the ****e in them, we all knew they were ****e but that was ok when I was just treatin myself to one now and then, but now cause of irresponsible parents and fat greedy kids I can't have an occasional, full of junk that is bad for me but ohh so tasty, treat. /rant

    Johnnie Onion Rings

    Beat me to it.

They changed years ago and I disappointment myself once a year by taking a chance buying a packet to see if they changed them back :(

Pot Noodles are rank now, or maybe my taste has just matured ??

Yeah they took out all the bad things a few years back, which unfortunately made them worse. The sweet and sour favour used to be a day glow bright orange. God knows what was really in it.....

Also bought a packet of Tayto Snax, i know they are a real kids packet of crisps but used to love these but again they were not great, plus they were a lot thinner /QUOTE]

Like all the other cells in the body, those special sensory cells that make up the taste buds eventually wear out. As we age, the taste buds begin to disappear from the sides and roof of the mouth, leaving taste buds mostly on our tongue. The remaining taste buds eventually become less sensitive. Smoking and eating scalding liquids can damage them further. Our sense of smell also decreases as we get older, and smell and taste are intimately linked.

    Shut this **** down.

HP have definitely changed their recipe for Brunch. It used to be one of my favorite ice creams but it tastes so different now. When I first bought one of the changed ones, I actually thought it was out of date. Also, the ice cream used to be completely covered in crumbs, but now it's just a sprinkling. Shame :(

Totally agree about Brunch and Snax. Its such a pity. Brunch used to be covered in biscuit goodness now its just a few little bits here and there on strawberry flavoured icecream.
Snax has a hint of salt and vinegar flavour about that now and they taste stale, now I don't tend to do the two for me and one for you when my nephew has them.

Goodfella's pizza is another on that changed it flavour.

Pringles. They used to be addictive now they're salty lumps of fake. Powdered muck.

Nah, they're still manna from heaven.
Where has all the biscuit stuff gone off bruches?,they're basically glorified strawberry golly bars now.

The stale biscuity crap is gone? Finally a Brunch I can get on board with!

Scots Clan. They changed a few years back. Not a patch on before.

And angel delight. I think they replaced the sugar with sweetener.

@ the "it's smaller" posters. Thats the case with almost everything right now, so that they didn't have to up the costs much.
Would've been alot more complaints if they up'd the cost bet kept the same size..because people would all be like"we can't afford it/it's not fair etc etc"
    ___

At tastes, fruit & veg .. isn't great these days ):

Lion bars, they disappeared for awhile, came back and havent been the same since !!

All crisps these days are too healthy and bland, Had a packet of snacks the other day and they tasted like nothing but they are only 100 calories... i'd rather they be delicious and be 400 calories!

The only real crisps that have the full flavour are manhattan cheese and onion flavour but they only sell them in the pubs, they are even nicer than the old pub crisps. The rest are too bland.

I had these the other day and had to double check that I hadn't accidentally picked up Frosties by mistake! If you look at them dry you will see the frosted sugar coating. No wonder they seem to be on offer everywhere.

Gawd, yes. And they're too heavily weighted towards the caramel/toffee spectrum now, presumable because it's cheaper. Bring back coffee creams and mini Bournvilles! :(
