Installing t-bar between carpet and laminate

    I'm aware that a carpet end-cap is the recommended way to go between laminate flooring and carpet, but I had this installed recently and didn't like the way the carpet edge was visible, so I removed it and want to install a t-bar that overlaps the carpet and laminate in equal measure.

    The laminate is 12mm with 5mm underlay, and the carpet + underlay comes to roughly same level, so height-difference isn't an issue.

    The t-bar I'm looking at is 1.5" wide and I want the centre-point to run along the junction between carpet and laminate.

    What's the best way to secure the t-bar on the carpet-side? Someone suggested putting Tec-7 on the carpet, but sounds a bit messy!

    I had some carpet fitted recently but they used the wrong colour t-bars so i re-did them myself.

    They used a can of spray glue on the carpet side.
    I didn't have any when i did them but the bars pretty much grip the carpet anyway so it fits fairly well.
