AlanKernaghan'sLovelyFace is probably the smartest moderator. Even added punctuation into her username which would be beyond most people.

Her? As in a girl? There's female moderators? Get out of town..

Are they allowed on the Islam thread?

    Does DeVore count?

He owns this bulletin board and almost all of the mods for him for free. Practical knowledge is sometimes more ideal than someone who copies and pastes knowledge from their brain (or wikipedia) to the page, and i would disagree with some of the suggestions so far.

It's hard to single out one because I love them all really.

They don't seem like unpaid peons on a website to me, more like figures of inspiration: charting a lonely path through the turbulent waters of popular discussion and shining a light into the tenebrous murk of current affairs.

Thanks, man. That means a lot. :) It's one thing to know you're better than everyone else, another thing to find out you're smarter than everyone else.

I propose a fight to the death.

A mod rumble if you will.

The winner shall be declared the most intelligent, as well as having their work load significantly increased.

    can we play TF2?

actually scratch that make it FTL

You noticed me: a meaningless cipher, a nullity that doesn't even know any Admins.

This is one of the best days of my life. xxxx

Son Goku in Physics & Chemistry was intimidatingly smart.

As he does with all difficult questions posed in After Hours, Pighead consulted his life guru sensei seamus to find out the answer to this most difficult of questions.

    The answer apparently is seamus.

Lord randylonghorn who is both benevolent and firm with us leaving certs is surely the most wise and temperate of all the mods. Never too harsh but quick to put us in our place with a firm confidants crushing quip that leave us in awe of his mighty intellect.

So the most intelligent is really the one who loses ;)

Defining intelligence would be a good start. The Mod who can do this should get the vote

Corinthian just has a greater ability to dissect and manipulate subtle logic.

Jeez, get up off your knees, will ya?

    Wibbs gets my vote

Bluewolf is the most intelligent one I know of, she's a genius!

But if I was to say who was the smartest or most knowledgeable mod, I'd probably say Wibbs. He seems like someone who learns a lot from life and his posts are always very eloquent.

Are you sure you're not Tolstoy? Prose like this rarely graces AH's pages.
    anncoates = Anna Karenina :)
