What's our front 5 gonna be next season? Obviously it'll be Cesc, Higuain, Rooney and Cazorla but will it be Podolski or Walcott making up the numbers?

Uruguay only got through v Iraq on peno's  In fairness Iraq must have a decent crop considering the country was fairly war torn in recent history

Fellaini could well prove to be this new number 4 thats rumoured.
Iraq have been doing very well recently. It's funny how politics work.

As Dunphy once ranted, "for the beautiful game to thrive we need poverty and dictatorship Bill. Theres no one out playing football on the streets like John Giiiiillleeeeessss used to"

Play them all and just outscore the opposition, we'll be grand :D

Ah come on, we have to leave one of them out so we can have either Arteta or Fellaini to provide a holding role.

    Do we really need defenders?

    Szczesny

    Arteta -- Fellaini -- Wilshere
    Cazorla --- Fabregas
    Walcott
    Podolski
    Suarez -- Rooney
    Higuain

Guess we could leave one out against the bigger teams and play Koscielny? Ramsey, Gundogan and Jovetic will have to make do with a place on the bench. :D

I dunno, I don't think it'd be good for Chesney's confidence if he was dropped for Laurent.

Any new quotes on this or is it from few days ago?

Team fly out today and not one quality signing made, plus santi is still on his holiday so expect to see him late back, please arsenal do something.

Wonder when the first press conference is out there?
They'll be some sort of info from Wenger then

if he denies knowing the player or does the thing where he tries to play it down/be respectful to the other team but still can't stop himself smiling (if you watch the press confs. you'll know what i mean), you know there's something in it

Saw this on Reddit and thought it was nice:

In fairness to the club, they do things like this very well.

From reading the comments it appears it was initiated by a Steward at the club.

Embarrassing but you can only blame our socialist wage structure. He'll be here until his contract runs out, just like Squillaci and Arshavin :(

We might end up needing him this season the way things are going...

At this stage I think the best thing for all parties would be for Bendtner to transfer to the MLS or one of the more affluent Middle Eastern leagues. This way he'd get the wages and recognition he feels he deserves while playing at a level in which he will excel.

MARCA reporting that Contreao and Higuain are training away from the team and that we have made a €50m bid for Suarez?

    http://www.marca.com/2013/07/11/en/football/real_madrid/1373524413.html

Interestingly, that story is only on the English version of MARCA. Maybe they're just toying with us.

Why would it freak you out? We have all summer to work through the Wenger war chest :P

The only thing that should freak people out is Bendtner in an Aresnal jersey this coming season.

I know we have time but.....i just want some incoming movement! and not Bendtner as a "like a new signing!"
    :)

Every Arsenal game between now and December, with the exception of Norwich at home, is on live on either Sky BT or Setanta.

    Good news.

Major hole in mo phoca though.

That's shiite news, I already pay stupid money for sky every month and Setanta I've heard are going to want 22 euro a month for subscription. Which would take my bill to 129 a month fcuk you Setanta.

Oh and Bendtner why wont he just fcuk off.

Agreed, united seem to be having a similar time of it with the whole Thiago fiasco in particular. Looked a done deal at one point.

Usual stuff for us. Not to worry, we will probably raid Bolton for a young center back or the like.

I won't be subscribing to BT or Setanta, paying too much for Sky as it is.
