CALLING ALL JUNGLISTS!

Jungle Boogie! Is returning in 2013 for one night only with a celebration of the Old School!
Following a hugely successful and ridiculously fun-filled tour of the island in 2011 and 2012, we decided to gather once again in 2013 for one very special night of bass,beats and vinyl worship.
Beautiful Bearna in Galway is the host town for what is sure to be a wickid night of flavah, flow and friendly smiling faces . . .
And we can't go any further without saying how absolutely STOKED we are that all time Junglist legends and general heroes KROME & TIME are joining us for the occassion!
Not satisfied with that though we have Don Rosco, Destitute and the Jungle Boogie! Crew of Undadog,Welfare,BadmanDeego and Jonesy on the decks.
And still not done we are delighted to have the mighty Rootical Sound System in the second room with long time souljah MURRAY MAN and local legend CIAN FINN on the mic..not to mention the heavyweight Universal Rockers Sound System at the controls across the sea of bass....
It all goes down in Bearna Golf Club on the 12th July and beyond...

//// Krome & Time ////
DJ Krome & Mr Time aka Krome & Time started out in 1988 playing on Londons legendary Fantasy fm and various acid-house partys. They began recording their own music on the legendary Suburban-Base record label releasing THE RUSH under the name "Kromozone". Their next release was under the name Timebase and Kromozone and was the highly collectable FIireball and Unity the latter which was sampled by DJ Luck and MC Neat on the garage anthem "A Little bit of luck".

After this came the legendary rave anthems "This sound is for the underground" & Manic stampede. By this time they were doing dj/mc sets up and down the country and abroad and also doing lots of remix work.
Their fourth release was one of the biggest tunes of 1993 The Slammer

Krome & Time then set up their own label "Tearin Vinyl" which they released two of the biggest Jungle tunes of 1994 "The Licence" & "Ganja Man". The Licence Remix by Krome and Time themselves has quickly become a Jungle Boogie! favourite and their choons are to be heard from almost every DJ from the Jungle Boogie fam.
Many releases followed on the Tearin Vinyl imprint and a series of reissues came along in the early naughty's under the Tearin Vinyl Classics moniker..
Krome & Time absolutely killed it at Jungle Boogie! up in Belfast back in Jan 2012, The dynamic duo are still doing DJ/mc sets up and down the UK & abroad and are sure to blow the faithful to pieces with old school rave, Hardcore and Jungle goodness!!

Don Rosco has been spinning wax non-stop on the Irish electronic scene longer since the early 90s, playing a key role as resident at the now legendary Bassbin Jungle and DnB nights.
With a record collection spanning 20 years that rivals the most hardened vinyl junkie's stash, Rosco has mashed dancefloors all over the country, covering a diverse range of styles and genres along the way. With a firm footing from the very beginning in the Bass oriented soundscape, Rosco has been pushing new noises from the mid 90s, firstly Jungle and DnB, then Garage and Dubstep and more recently the Uk Funky tip. He has played alongside pretty much every big name in the game, and has shown many of them up along the way. Rosco has also hosted several radio shows since 1994, with a current slot on Dublin's Power FM, where he can be caught alongisde long time partner in crime Stacks every Wednesday from 9pm- midnight at www.powerfm.org/

Undadog has been DJing for the past 13 years, clocking up multiple gigs along the way. As a dedicated Turntablist, Undadogs DJ sets feature a range of styles including Rave, Oldskool,reggae and Jungle, mixed and cut up with a choppy “cut and paste” styled approach. Undadog's a strong lover of oldskool music as he believes it is just as relevant today as it was back in the day.
Over the years, Undadog has played slots throughout Ireland and the UK. These include Incubator (Belfast), Alienisland Festival, Rathlin Island Festival, Rastachaun Dundalk, this island and trip hazard. residencies held at Perceptual, Sound Kowalition, Bad Taste, and drumology.
He's also appeared on radio stations such as Battlestation, Break-Pirates, Stressfactor, BassJunkees, UK Rumble (London), and Interface (London) and is currently holding down a fortnightly residency on global Junglist radio station Jungletrain.

This Badman been mashin up the Jungle dancefloor for years , with an uncompromising tearup style, smooth mixing and encyclopaedic old school vinyl knowledge as well as a dedication to the medium. Having spun with manys the hardcore crew and played many some of Jungle's greats this guy knows how to work a crowd and pull the right choon out at the right moment.

Welfare is an Irish electronic music DJ/Producer/Promoter/Sound System Operator currently based in Galway
Welfare's gigged all over Ireland, the UK, U.S, Canada and on continental Europe.
He's played alongside an impressive wave of talent such as Orbital, Pinch, Loefah, DJ Hype, Krome and Time, Remarc, Doc Scott, Hatcha, Scuba, Distance, Boxcutter, Youngsta, MRK1, RSD, Blawan. Radikal Guru and many, many more...
He has been producing various electronic styles for about 2 years with releases on !Kaboogie Records and Ghetto Quietly and has remixed such accomplished domestic acts as Lakker, Prince Kong and prduced bootlegs of DnB artists such as Commix.

Jonezy is a Cork bass addict who's been hustlin' bout the Dubstep an Jungle scene for a few moons at this stage - - A fiercely loyal vinyl junkie, Jonezy's been rollin with the Riseup and DubCulture crews for years, stirring up the sub at pretty much every Cork nite spot as well as festivals the land over. Noted for outrageous spends on classic Jungle 12 inchers, you will hear choons that are rarer than your granny's teeth with this cat..

Murray Man has been involved with reggae music since the 80s, selecting and DJing on Birmingham soundsystems. By 98, he started producing on his own label Mellow Vibes, releasing his own as well as many other singers’ material.

Murray Man is a versatile performer, and his varied styles range from old school DJing to soulful singing, always with a positive uplifting message, which has made him famous across Europe. Specializing in UK Roots, he has released music with many labels such as Roots Spirit, Cultural Warriors, Mungo’s HiFi, amongst many others..

//// Cian Finn ////
Galway man Cian Finn is a vocalist and MC, inspired by the sounds of soul, blues and reggae.

Currently working with some of the most respected acts in contemporary dub music, Cian has performed live with Mad Professor, Zion Train, Iration Steppas, Mungo’s Hi-Fi, Dubwise, Cornerstone Roots, Dubkasm, and Radikal Guru. His vocal tracks have been remixed by Manasseh, RSD, Phaeleh, and Indigo.

He was lead vocalist and a founding member of Irish reggae group Intinn. They were a mainstay of the Irish festival circuit and over the last 7 years playing across the UK, France, Spain and Italy. In 2010 Intinn were declared “Best Upcoming Reggae Act in UK and Ireland” at the One Love Festival in London..

Cian has featured both live and in the studio with globally renowned traditional Irish group De Danann. Recently returned from a tour of Scotland, England, Germany, France and Poland with Radikal Guru, he has also performed live in New Zealand, in India at the MTV Sunburn festival and in Johannesburg, South Africa.

Known for his vibrant onstage presence and impassioned voice, Cian’s shows voyage through reggae rhythms to bouncing dubstep, interspersed with soulful acapella moments. This is an artist rooted deeply in the Celtic spirit, his songwriting is infused with insight and positivity, carrying forward the flame of conscious music.

Cian is currently nearing completion of his first solo album produced by Prince Fatty.

Rootical Soundsystem is a no compromise roots n culture sound with a long history of promoting reggae around Ireland. Rootical founder Jason has been running reggae nights & promotions around the country since 1993.1996 saw the beginning of the Rootical Soundsystem as it is today, with Jason teaming with mc`s Peat Bog & Ras AD to play in clubs around Galway city. At this early stage the soundsystem consisted of a couple of full range speakers and some basic equipment…From around 2000 the crew began to build what is now the super heavyweight system that anyone who has attended a Rootical dance will be only to familiar with. Over the years the Rootical crew has constantly been evolving with different MC’s showcasing their talent. Rootical has been Ireland’s foremost roots reggae sound over the past decade and has delivered some of the best reggae events in Ireland.
