Useless AC in Toyota Avensis

Hey,

Is there any reason that the AC in a Toyota avensis might not work correctly?

There is almost no airflow and does nothing for me in the heat?

9 times out of 10 its a blocked cabin filter.

Open and empty glovebox
Squeeze both sides so that glovebox opens further
Note the position of the gas strut from the left side (take a picture ideally)
Unclip gas strut
Pollen filter is behind plastic panel with clip on it

Putting the strut back on the glovebox is the hardest part. Get a filter ASAP but running without the filter for a week is ok.

At that stage you probably won't need the AC till next year.

Thanks - that fixed it... But now it's not in anyway cold

Needs a regas I'd say

It might have been bypassed, this is a common fix to a knackered air conditioning compressor.
