Volkswagen passant B6 05 onwards 1.9tdi 105bhp lacking power?

Hi, Just looking for some info on the 105bhp passats and if they are as dull as dish water or is there enough power in them? Seems to me 105bhp is low for the size of the car and it may struggle/seem sluggish when overtaking? Cheers for any replies :) Steve

They are a bit dead alright but it depends what you are used to / looking for. For a majority of people, that engine is quite acceptable. Really 140 bhp is much nicer power wise. There were issues with some versions of the 2.0 tdi though I believe.
