Is it mandatory that celebrities, particularly in the entertainment, seem to pair off with other celebrities? I'm just soooo sick of hearing about celebrity couples...

I reckon they all say to each other or have bets as to how many other celebs they can **** before a certain age.

99.9% of the time it last a few months and its on to the next. It's the only explanation

It's also why doctors marry doctors or nurses, marrying someone in the same job/field as them means they will understand the long hours and time away.

As little as you're interested in hearing about Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie, the people who are interested don't care about Jeff Bridges and Susan Geston, Matt Damon and Luciana Barroso or Vince Vaughn and Kyla Weber. Plenty marry non-celebrity types, you just don't hear about them because it doesn't make "Good" "News."
