Help getting from Dublin to Belmullet

This may seem stupid but a group of 12 and I need some help finding out the cheapest (and most convenient) way of getting from Dublin to Belmullet on a sunday this month

Ideally, we need to be there by 4pm and we don't want to lose the whole day to travel, so our plan at the moment is to get a 8am bus to castlebar to get there for 1, or westport and then get from there to belmullet. Is there an easy way to get from castlebar/westport to belmullet without spending loads on taxis, or even better is there an easier route to take? We know theres a direct bus from dublin to belmullet from what we could see on the awful bus eireann website, it only runs once at 1pm on a sunday. Any help would be much appreciated, thanks!

Did u check buses from Ballina, Castlebar, Westport to Belmullet?

Bus Eireann to Ballina and then get a mini bus to Belmullet.

Can give you the name of a guy with a minibus who does a taxi service in one of the towns near by.

But would still probably be 10-15 per head.

Presume you'll need a return trip?

Leave Busaras at 7, get to Ballina at 11:15. Grab a bit of breakfast in Ballina and get the bus on to Belmullet at 13:00.
