    That second/third Wednesday in August can't come quick enough to be honest and neither can I. However I'd be wary of some Leaving Certs lying saying they achieved better than what they actually did to impress you which in turn hijacks my 'standards rule'.

    The problem with chasing 18 year olds... especially girls, is that they look a lot older than they are when they are made up.

    Could be younger.... could be serious problems in the eye of the law if ya catch my drift.

    Not my scene though.

    The opposite can be true too though. I've see 25 year olds that looked 18. If they're small and petite it can be hard to tell.

    Although 16 years olds can get into some places so I see what you mean. You have to be careful.

    im 31,my last two flings were with girls in their early 20s.i find there is a severe shortage of single women my age,and the ones that are single seem to want to jump into a serious relationship right from the get go.that's just my opinion though

    From what I've observed, girls in their late teens who'd get involved with a much older guy, whether it be a relationship or just sex, tend to be really mature for their age, and the guy tends not to be a brainless gimp basing his life on what "the lads" think.

    Being 20 I just go for the once she can start college shes good to go. My favourite thing about college girls is that as I get older they stay the same age.

    I went out with a guy who was 24 when I was 18 for 2 years and even then he seemed ancient. Lads in their late 20s and above didn't even enter my radar - they just seemed old.

    For some people old=experienced. :P

    After dealing with young men who start too early, and finish too soon, then the idea of a sexually experienced older man could be quite attractive.

    Of course having an idea doesn't mean it's the reality :p

    Am, WHAT???

    When I was 18, I had a fling with a 25 year old, and I wasn't the only in my group of friends and acquaintances. It's a heady, exciting time when you first fully become aware of your sexuality and lads your own age seem immature. (Then you realise in hindsight that you were just as immature) IME, 18-19 year old women hooking up with men 25 and over is quite common actually.

    It was an extremely rare occurrence among my peers when I was 18. I fancied older fellas too but didn't go beyond early 20s.

    Shocking as it may seem, 18-year-old girls would tend not to be into guys who talk about them the way some of the guys here do! ("Bit of fresh", "dirty little eager" - f'ucking creepay! :pac:)

    I actually don't see anything wrong with a person who's much older having an encounter or relationship with an 18-year-old, provided they don't have a horrible attitude about it, like on this thread. If you genuinely fancy or like someone, age shouldn't be a barrier to giving it a try IMO. It's the using it as a points-scoring exercise with "the gang" or viewing the 18-year-old as "fresh meat"... how pitiful is that?

    All this talk of really dirty, eager 18-year-olds seems more inspired by porn than real life too.
