    Me? Maths. When I look at algebra I see alien hieroglyphics.

    Writing neatly. My handwriting looks like a the result of the ink-dipped feet of a demented chicken let loose on canvass.

    Concentrating on one thing. I'm watching TV as I'm writing this. Sometimes I'm playing poker, watching TV and browsing boards all at once and not doing any of them especially well.

    What are you useless at?

    It USED to be parallel parking...

    I learned to drive 5 years ago and up until A MONTH AGO I was hopeless at it, ie. I COULDN'T DO IT!
    But on a whim I did it and now I'm fine.

    Right now, I'm useless at eggs.........I'm a good cook; can make almost any sort of meal, but when it comes to eggs, I'm no good.

    I can't do a good fried egg/scramble egg..don't know how to boil an egg, but I'm not embarrassed because I can cook you under the table!!

    Here, let me get you started, if I said to you, fill in the blanks:

    7 + _ = 10

    2 + _ = 4

    You would probably think, oh yeah , 3 and 2 go in those blanks - respectively.

    Now replace the '_' with 'x' and congratulations, you now understand the basics of algebra.

    Counting change when under pressure - my mind just goes into shut-down so I make a rough estimate that looks like I've counted it, plonk the coins into the cashier's hand, and say, 'is that right'? They count it and say 'no you owe me', or, 'no you've given me too much' to which I reply 'silly me'.

    Grammar, spelling not too bad, give a good go at it, grammar I just don't get.

    Maths I'd be decent at, some people don't get grammar, some don't get Maths.

    I just don't get body building, looking at myself in a mirror, DIY, motor rallying and the kicking tyres stuff. Soccer and GAA seems to be my testosterone fix.

    I also don't get why drinking a pint in peace while reading a paper/ book seems odd these days. It's a 50/50 equation, the pint or whatever your tipple is half of it, the bliss of reading the paper/book in isolation in a crowded place, the other half.

    I cannot talk to children.
    It doesn't come natural so I feel so awkward talking to them...I find it so embarrassing.
