    Hey,

Does anyone know if it is possible to change where I sit on the train. I booked 2 seats next to each other but now need the group of 4.

    Thanks :)

Send an email to Irish rail - personally I think their online system is somewhat rigid /inflexible - u may still get a robot answer.that's wat gugleguy would do.

You're better off phoning them. 1850 366 222. I e-mailed them once and it took them about 4 or 5 days to reply.

Would a Dublin to Cork train be packed? I mean if Cork or Dublin was the only stop.

thats a very vague question considering there is in or around 100 trains a week in either direction.

The VIA Rail one was nice and simple - you got points for dollars spent. There were some ways to get bonuses but that was mostly how it worked. Now they are fracturing the fare structure six ways from Sunday. Some stupid clown from an airline probably told them to.

If I was designing an IE loyalty scheme I'd consider the most common form of loyalty - sticking your hand in your pocket time after time to put your faith in a product. Or just being so stuck for an alternative that you deserve a reward for your stoicism :D
