    I have. And replace cisterns, toilet bowls, sinks, cubicle doors, tiles etc.

    Thing is that there does exist a certain amount of male discrimination, of any colour. Of course if we were to do anything about it, it would backfire immensely.

    The whole "white privilege" thing is imported american leftist nonsense in an Ireland which is

    1) historically white
    2) still mostly white - including immigrants.
    3) Historically has had racial and sectarian laws against ....whites. Us.

    Not all whites being the same, of course. Its possible that culchies are discriminated in some places, northsiders in others, Poles in others, Dubliners here, males - mostly whites - there. White women in places - though not housing, in general. Travellers everywhere.

    Particularly housing. Despite laws against it there are plenty of adds which say female only. So that is the point. If the OP is being discriminated in that area, so he is.

    EDIT: lol at Louis CK - from a different country with a different history and racial relations.

    EDIT 2: lol, again. This time I listened to his nonsense. Being "white" - this undefined ethnicity - I would jump into a time machine and get a table at any restaurant in the year 2.

    No, I'd be a slave in Rome if I made it to Rome. I doubt Ireland had restaurants.

    Thats true for me too except for the time I tried to join the Bullington club when I was in Oxford, the Carlton club in London, and get a pass to the Bilderberg conference. Maybe you weren't trying hard enough.

    Does every white male in Ireland have the same chances of getting into Trinity, or getting into Portmarnock golf club, or getting into private school - and being born rich is a form of privilege - or studying law, or getting a legal apprenticeship, or participating in real power and privilege as the top 1%. Include northsiders , Poles Albanians, Culchies, the working class, the lumpen classes, and the normal middle income groups in your answer.

    The idea of white privilege is one which holds up to scrutiny in the United States, but is not an idea which has any historical relevance in Ireland. That said, I've no doubt that there is a certain privilege that comes with being in an ethnic majority in this country. I'll never have to fear a racially aggravated assault, for example.

    theres a difference between being affected by profiling and being affected by discrimination,being affected by discrimination has a big impact on life and mental health if it happens often/a longer term issue,it can affect those around self,like family.

    it isnt just the police/gards who do profiling,most job areas do.
    take security guards in a big supermarket for example,seeing someone walking around with an odd hunched gait,scruffy clothing [because the person hates change perhaps],refusing eye contact,pacing the isle and flapping their hands,security guard profiles this odd behavior to be someone on the rob and stalks them around the place which makes their behavior worse as theyre looking around for x or y item,this is a person with autism,is this disability discrimination? no, its profiling.

    profiling can be used to make businesses tailored better,its more helpful on the employees side though as its about making the job easier and less problematic.

    There is bog all social privilege with being white since you admit that travellers are not privileged, and seemed to not understand that they are white. Catholics in Northern Ireland were white and oppressed. Irish Catholics were oppressed by the English. Greeks were killed by Turks. Albanians have little or no world wide cultural power, but black Americans do, about which more later.

    There is nothing intrinsic in "whiteness" which gives anybody any privilege except in the indoctrinated mind of mantra quoting leftists.

    I notice you were complaining a few threads back about Michelle Obama's trip to Ireland and the slavishness we Irish paid to the American Imperial entourage.

    For the love of God man - learn the Catechism of the pseudo-religion you belong to. She's the relative of the most powerful man on Earth, you barely have the arse out of your trousers, have no money, and command nothing, but she's black and you're white.
