(Am I in the right forum??)

I am preparing a medium sized company for SEPA transition.

I just had a conversation with Bank of Ireland.

Apparently, they are NOT ready to accept BICs/IBAN's at all.

They will not be ready until November or December.

    Can anyone confirm this?
Are they really that un-prepared for SEPA?

Yeah, though I was told September/october, not good if the time scale is slipping.

Business on line wont be able to handle sepa payments they are developing a separate portal to do that

Why don't you post your question on the Bank of Ireland Forum & get the information from a verified representative on there. Nothing would surprise me if they weren't prepared & sur it will cost you more the fact that they aren't prepared.

    Thanks for responses.

I am unfamiliar with the Bank of Ireland forum within boards.

    How do I post there??

    Thanks,

what does your average small company need to do to prepare for SEPA? We are BOI too.

Do you currently accept Direct Debits from your customers?

No, we don't allow this. EFT or cheque only.

You don't really have to do anything then.
