Looking to get 3 phase electricity in domestic shed

    hi, does anybody know how to apply to the esb for an upgrade to 3 phase (20kVa). have looked on line for application forms but none say specific 3 phase upgrade for non business use. i have some 3 phase tools (drill, welder, etc) that i would like to run. it looks like the local business to me has 3 phase already and is only bout 400 metres away...
    any help would be great, thanks.

    Hi General Paulus,

    ESB Networks, which operates separately to Electric Ireland, are the people to put this query to. They are not on Boards.ie but here is their number to call in relation to increased connection capacity: 1850 372 757. That telephone line is open until 6pm on weekdays, and 1.30pm on Saturdays. If you have your MPRN (meter point reference number - on a bill) to hand, it will speed up their service for you.
