I printed the e-mail 'From: Cap2Exam <Cap2Exam@charteredaccountants.ie> Date: 7 June 2013 16:02 Subject: CAP2 Final Notification Letter Summer 2013' ... they seemed happy with it. So long as it's got your name, exam number and exam centre I can't see how it makes any difference anyway. Are you doing the exams in Dublin?

What is everyone's "last ditch effort plan"? I'm thinking just go over the past papers one more time! All the examiners reports keep mentioning over reliance on books and material and not enough focus on the case so I'm thinking it pointless studying the notes?

I just pretend that the question is real life and if I was at my desk in work looking through the company accounts what would I do.

I seem to get a lot more down on paper that way than trying to struggle through pre-set answers I have in my folder.

You would be surprised how much you can think of.

I'm sure it wasn't that bad. Keep the chin up, you never know how these exams go until you get the result!

What's done is done so don't spend too much time thinking about it, and concentrate on the next 2 bundles of joy!! :)

Rough enough today tbh. Didn't seem to be any easy marks (risks, controls) like other year. Even ethics didn't appear in the compulsory question! Strange phrasing on a lot of questions as well- took me ages to figure out what they were asking (at least I hope I figured it out!!).

Hopefully I'll have some idea tomorrow if I have to spoof. Thank god for the easyish continuous assessment for SFMA as well. Otherwise I think I'd be goosed tomorrow!

Can't wait till they're done at this point- weather is picking up as well!

Totally agree phrasing of questions wasnt clear no audit risks or controls as you said. I read over last years examiners report and i think they said last year was the highest pass rate there have ever had so clearly they were trying to tighten up this year.

That's what I thought too, harder because so many passed and everyone saying they didn't need to study audit

The inventory totally threw me too! Only answered half the last question....that was not a good paper at all :-/

No energy again now for SFMA study....great! Think I'm just gonna review the company in difficulty, FX risk and company valuation and call it a day.
