    Didn't get an interview, raging..

Wondering if its because i could only get 1 reference. Is it possible to get feedback on it?

Kinda banjaxed my whole plans, gotta try elsewhere now..

Hang in there and see what outcome is.
Did you hear anything from Trinity?

    Any updates, anyone?

I doubt anyone has had an interview yet.
    Guessing they start Monday.
Mines Tuesday and I plan on being a lot better prepared this time.

Best of luck, my interview is Tuesday week. Let us know how you get on. Hope it goes well. Do you know how long after interview before they let you know?

I'm not sure. But at the very least they'll need to interview everyone first probably? I'm doing my prep now.

Definitely ask for feedback. They are usually very good at replying about that.

What area do you want to go on and study as I know both UCD and Maynooth have access programmes for mature students. I did the the Science and Engineering one in UCD before getting a place at TCD. So doing your access course in another university doesn't reduce your chances of getting a place at Trinity.

Had my interview this morning, I was the first of the day. Wonder was I the first interviewee overall?
They very friendly and nice, will know end of July if it's a yay or nay. Fingers crossed.

    Did interview take long?
    Were questions difficult?

Think it was 20-25 mins, the time flew by. Seemed like 10mins.

The questions as I explained to my friend aren't difficult, they aren't quizzing you so much as looking to get a sense of who you are. So they won't ask anything like, "can you name 4 of the subject we offer". I filled out the question sheet they sent me, but other then going over my essay again, it didn't really help.
Best advice I could give, get a good nights sleep, leave and plan to be there good and early so you aren't stressing over time. I was 25mins early, the girl after me was also 25mins early. You'll probably be a little nervous or stressed anyway, so lots of sleep and plenty of time to get there will help take some stress away. Also eat something, don't skip breakfast if you're interview is early. Oh and the science museum across the road is a good place to lock up a bike and go fix yourself in the toilets before going over and making that first impression.

Good luck everyone, might see you all in September.

Hey guys they sent out emails the original date was June 27th now its July 3rd best of luck everyone

That wasn't very clear at all. Some people got interview dates for the 27th July and most of these people couldn't make that date so it has been rearranged for the 3rd June

Has anyone any idea of when they make the decisions and offer out the places, i know they have an awful lot of interviews to get through.
I am just wondering as i was interviewed in plunkett, and offered a place but my first option is trinity due to a number of reasons. However Plunkett wants my decision and the course fee by the 30th July, and i was wondering if Trinity offers places before this date or after ?

Good evening fellow Trinity hopefuls, any news out there? Are they still interviewing? What's the word on the street?

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 734 ✭✭✭abceire

I heard they are were interviewing still last week so they were a bit swampped.
Is it exciting waiting or nerve wrecking?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 25 Alreadytaken

Hi, how did it go for you?
Did they say as to when you will hear back?

It went ok I think. I think I represented myself accurately and overall I am happy with the interview. They put me at ease straight away and any nerves just melted away.

They said hopefully we should know within a couple of weeks. No definite time frame but gave me the impression it wont be too long of a wait.

I had a great interview, lasted 45 minutes. Hopefully we will hear soon, can't really make future plans until I hear back from Trinity. I want to do Law eventually.
