Uneven Tyre Wear - Sunny

    Hi All
I put a pair of Sunny 235/35/19 tyres on my Vectra a couple of months ago. After about a week I noticed an awful whine in the car which I took to be a rear wheel bearing and bought the part to replace. However when my mechanic had a look the bearings were fine. A couple of months have elapsed and now the noise is so loud it is seriously annoying.
I decided last week to switch them from the front to the back to see if this would make any difference. On taking them off I notices that the wear on the inside is really uneven. Looks like every second groove on the tyre is wearing more resulting in the excessive road noise.
My question is having seen the picture attached would you take these back to the supplier or am I being unreasonable to expect more than 3 months off this brand of tyre. They were 95 euro each.
I have sent a mail to Sunny but they have not responded.
Wondering what your thoughts are ??

Any new 19 inch tyre you can buy for €95 is going to be rubbish.

Sunny tires are absolute rubbish. That said, I would be getting my mechanic to investigate any potential issues with the car further before blaming it on the tire; if nothing else there is no point changing tire for a more expensive one (hopefully) and having the same thing happen again.

    Amen to that.

Brave man putting €95 ditch finders on anything sitting on 19" rims. Actually is it possible they are rubbing against the arch, I would imagine 19" being a bit big for a Vectra.

This reputable tyre dealer put two decent enough tyres in Dec for the NCT test so thought they would put the same ones on two months later. I wouldnt have put Sunny's on the car believe me. My other half took the car in. I did get the car tracked as I thought this might be the problem. On doing a bit of internet searching these tyres are pure crap.

Want a definition of stupid? There were sunnys on my 535 when I bought it.

Unfortunately as they were brand new on all 4 corners I couldnt justify changing them till they are a bit worn in at least.

Not sure if you are an idiot, or deserve a medal for bravery.

I had Sunny's on the rear of my 520d and that got a bit hairy in anything more than mildly moist conditions - hence why they are in the garage and I'm still Winter Contacts.

GT Radials on the front weren't too bad.

My last car Volvo S60 D5 had 4 on it too when I bought it. Was lethal in the wet. Needless to say they were changed as soon as I had a few bob to do so. Smoking them off sounds fun but it stalled on Fri with MAF failure so will await its return.
