Is there a way to contact a twitter user?

I have tweeted to the person (but not followed them) but their own tweet history suggests that they only tweet sporadically so they may not see my tweet for a while. Is there any way of contacting them outside of twitter - is there any way I can get an email address from their twitter profile?

I don't think so.

But if you send them a DM inside Twitter, and they have it configured to send them an email when someone DMs them, they will get it.
